T&P for My Neice Please
I am holding my breath just waiting for this year to be over. My neice is in a Berlin hospital! They were visiting with my brother from Italy. On Christmas Eve day, they went to the hotel pool and she was getting into a hot tub - had to go up (or down) stairs that were very slippery. She had on pool shoes. She wiped out and fell - breaking her leg in 2 places, including a compound fracture.
She had emergency surgery to put in carbon fiber stabilizers. She will have another surgery in the next day or so to put in pins and rods. Once that is done she will be able to return to Italy.
On a funny note, her DH is a cyclist and he was joking that she will have more carbon fiber than his bikes and that he should get her a sponsor or two. At least they can start laughing about it all.
How many days till that ball drops and closes the chapter on this year?????
