Which pic of me is better?

I tried to make this a poll but the stupid function doesn't seem to be working :(

I am going to include a small picture of myself in my work email signature. (a lot of people on my team are now doing this because we're inside sales reps so our customers never get to see us in real life)

2 of my coworkers think I should use the top picture, from my wedding day, but I don't like it at all. I'm thinking about using the bottom picture instead, I think I look better and more normal. But they say to use the wedding pic.

Which do you think is better for my email signature? Wedding pic or other pic?

Feel free to tell me why or why not! And if you think they both suck, tell me.

Re: Which pic of me is better?

  • Other pic. I think its more personal using an untouched/unedited photo. Which is what you are going for, right? ;) I like both though.

  • I agree on the second pic, but I had a hard time deciding.  Ulitmately like Chelsea said, it's more personal and normal day to day.  By the way, I would kill for your hair.

  • They're both great, but I think the second one is better for every day / work.

  • Thanks ladies! I agree, I like the second one.

  • I'm going against the crowd.  I like #1.  You look polished and beautiful but not overdone.  both are great though.
  • I vote the 2nd one as well - The first one is to glitzy for an email, imo.

People really put their picture in their e-mail signature? Interesting.

  • I like picture number 2 for your e-mail signature, but I would like that one even better if it were a little less cropped so that you can see all of your hair (which is beautiful by the way).
  • Nat- your son is so cute!

Jena- yeah, I thought it was a little weird at first too but now I'm kinda getting into it, haha. If it helps my sales, that would be an added bonus. Sometimes people respond better when they can put a face to a name, I know I usually do.

Kendra- I had to crop it like that because otherwise Jason would be visible and who wants to see him! Lol.

Good point, having Jason in the picture might turn off your male clientele.  I'm pretty sure that it's a scientific fact that men will buy more of anything if there's a beautiful woman selling it.  Stick out tongue

  • Oh totally number 2. The first is a beautiful picture, but obviously a wedding picture. I like the second as it is more "you" on a normal basis.

  • I agree that #2 is the better pic for your work e-mail.  I actually have a pic of myself in my work signature.  I thought it was weird at first but since I don't always meet my customers right away I have found that I tend to get more replies back when they feel as if they are actually having a conversation with me even if it is via email.  I think it is why I get more replies through my work FB page too.  Weird, but it works I guess.
