I ended up taking SO with me to Christmas
We spent two nights at my dad's house. Everything went really, really well!
My grandma told him he better come back again and kissed him on the cheek good bye. Both my aunts said how much they enjoyed spending time all together and that he is very thoughtful and nice.
I think my family is starting to see how happy I am and they are accepting of my new relationship. This makes my heart melt.

Im very happy for you - that is great. I know that when my parents finally finally saw me happy with someone so kind and respectful, they started telling him constantly how "happy they are to see me someone who treats me right." Gave me the warm and fuzzies. I hope your happiness, and family's acceptance continues!
We ended up sharing the guest bedroom together. My dad was fine with it.
