Re: Good Reads Challenge

  • Did you do it this year?  Yup, first year.

Did you hit your goal?  I will have surpassed it by 3 by the end of the year.  I will have read and finished 53 books.

Will you do it next year?  If so, will you be upping your goal?  I don't think so.  I would love to up my goal but I doubt I will even get to 50 next year.

What was your favorite book you read this year?  I loved "Unbroken" and "Honolulu".  Oh and can't forget "The Hunger Games" series!

  • Did you do it this year? Yes - 50 books

Did you hit your goal? Hopefully! As of last night I have read 49 books. I think I'll be able to read one more by Sunday.

Will you do it next year?  If so, will you be upping your goal? Yes. I think I will up my goal since I don't have school the first half of the year. Maybe 60?

What was your favorite book you read this year? I read a lot of good books this year. Most of the Outlander books got 5 stars, as did the Hunger Games books. Other books with 5 stars were HP and the Deathly Hallows, Love and Other Natural Disasters, Hex Hall, and Demonglass.

  • Did you do it this year? Yes, I started out at 50, then 75 and got ambitious and went to 111.

Did you hit your goal? As of right now I'm 6 away and so help me God I will finish it.  I'm almost done with one and I have a few shorter books lined up so it should be no problem.

Will you do it next year?  If so, will you be upping your goal? I think I might try 125 but I need to think about it.  If not I'm going to do the 112 thing.

What was your favorite book you read this year? I read a lot of great books this year, I had taken a long break and it was so great to get back into.  I loved the Hunger Games, Devirgent, Matched series, Delirium and Unbroken (this book was just amazing and everyone should read it, my parents are reading it now and they are just engrossed in it).

  • Did you do it this year? Yep 50 Books

Did you hit your goal? Yes back in October. Since then I have only read 3 books. :( I will hit 54 possibly 55.

Will you do it next year?  If so, will you be upping your goal? I will do it next year again and I will probably stick at 50 because I have some big books on my TBR list.

What was your favorite book you read this year? Any of the Outlander Series. Hunger Games and Catching Fire (Mockingjay was good just didn't compare) I loved the Black Dagger Brotherhood series and the Fever Series.

I have then all listed on my blog with the star rating I gave them if anyone wants to look

**I think I saw someone on the book club board that has read over 250 books. I wish I had that kind of time.

  • 250 books?!  Geez!  That's like a little over 4 books a week!!

Did you do it this year? Yup!

Did you hit your goal? I just finished book #34. My goal is 35, so I have to read a book the next couple days! Over the summer I increased my goal from 25 to 35 though, so I guess you could say I passed it?

Will you do it next year?  If so, will you be upping your goal? Absolutely! I think I will keep it at 35. If only I could count all of my AP essays as books. :)

What was your favorite book you read this year? Unbroken

  • I did not set a goal last year, but I have been thinking about it 2012. I looked back at my GR list and I think I read 20 books this year, half of which have been in the last 2 months. I think a goal of 1 a month would be good, b/c I go in phases where I read, read, read, and phases where I don't, don't, don't. Maybe I'll try to hit 20 again.
  • I did not set a goal last year. As of the beginning of the year reading was a struggle because Maddy wasn't on as good of a routine as she is now. I typically finish at least one book a week and sometimes get 2 in it just depends on the book and whats going on in my life. So I am thinking I can probably set a goal of 50 for next year and have a good chance at it. If we counted kids books that I read to Maddy then I could probably triple that Wink
