Just wanted to let everyone know that I deleted the post about the Cricut software being compatible with MTC. Thank you to Cmeon_the_water for the link to the software that I have since purchased. Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone or cheat the system was just trying to be helpful.

Thank you- I'm sure you didn't mean any ill will at all- you were just excited and trying to share. I am sorry that I wasn't nicer about it.

I hope you're having fun- it really opens up a whole new world when you aren't tied to cartridges for your cuts- so many talented people out there designing, and it seems like there's always someone to help on the MTC boards when you can't find something you're looking for, or are having trouble designing something. I never post there, but, do a love to lurk. They are awfully nice people, though- I recommend checking in, now that you're a MTC fan!

And I do hope you stick around here, too- I'm not always so cranky. Most of the time, but, not always.

darn, I still want clarification on that whole thing! I have MTC, purchased years ago for my smaller cricut but have a new machine DH bought me (then lost the receipt!!) so I want to know if I can put it on there. Currently it's been sitting in a box, unopened oh a year now

If you have the software that has the plug-in, then it should be ok on your new machine as long as its not an Imagine or Expression 2. Those will not and have never worked with MTC. Just make sure your firmware is up to date (but not too much...I think there is firmware that is newer that will not allow you to use MTC). Do a search on the MTC forum and there are PLENTY of posts about all of it.

You should come out of lurkdom! They are super nice and SO helpful, even with the most basic questions.

Also check out the webinars they've done w/ the software. Its awesome to actually SEE them doing the stuff w/ software instead of pix or via the board.

thank you! I have the expression (not 2) so I am going to have to look into this more. I will be so happy if I can use it!

Then you should definately be able to use MTC. Just be sure you save your plug-in in several places just in case (flash drive, email, CD)! You may not ever be able to get it back.
