Looks like I'm the early bird today!
I had to come back to work this morning and I've got long days ahead for the rest of the week. Yesterday was fairly productive - got my kitchen sparkling and spotless, prepped 2-3 nights worth of dinners, went grocery shopping, washed my car (and of course it was raining within 5 minutes) and got a few other odds and ends done around the house. I wish I'd gotten more done, but I was on vacation and I didn't feel like it
I've got long days ahead for the rest of the week, but at least it's already Wednesday! Have a great day ladies

Re: Good Wednesday Morning!
Good morning! I'm baking some muffins right now. I have some errands later this morning and then I am meeting DH for lunch. His lunch buddy is out sick so I'll meet him up. Otherwise he is at work for 12+ hours and doesn't eat.
Have a great day.

Morning!
I can't believe my long weekend is over. My office is a ghost town.
It's going to seem like the longest day ever, and we have dinner reservations with a vendor DH works with tonight, and as much as I'm down for a good steak at Daniels Broiler, I really, really would just like to go home and sleep!

Wish you could stay home too! But happy b-day to your DH!!
I'm back from AK! It was ok. Honestly, I don't think either of us enjoyed it very much
I think I did pretty well actually, considering it was my first Christmas away from home, but my MIL gets on both our nerves. I don't know what we'll do if they ever live in the same state as us.
H was upset because Christmas wasn't at all like what it used to be (staying home in pjs all day, just the family), instead we had to go to church in the morning (even though we'd just gone to the Christmas eve service), she had a big party with friends over in the evening and made us rush through the presents. I think he was probably more upset than I was. It made me a little happy when he said he was looking forward to Christmas with my family though
They have talked about moving to Seattle for a while. But we have always thought that that meant Tacoma (she has friends down there) because we need a little distance in order to survive, she would watch our every move. She said this time that if I decide to work after kids (which she bugged us several times about when we'll have kids, first time ever) they will want to live right near us in Seattle (
) so she can take care of them. Now, I appreciate this because I'm a little anti-daycare myself and it would be great to have both sets of grandparents around. But the thought of them living near us is terrifying. Also I hate that she's bossy like "I don't want them in daycare" as if it's HER idea and her decision. As if. But if I'm a SAHM (again, she wants me to decide all of this now) they'll move to CA near her sister. Ugh.

Amanda,
I think our MILs could be BFFs! I love that my child having schedule/child raising plans are somehow their concern and they're entitled to a say in the decision.
Last time we saw the ILs, I got a death stare and a "we are WAITING to move to be near babies" followed by a "you know, Dad sure LOVES Seattle". Her other two sons have babies for her to go live close to, and they've only ever been to Seattle when the weather is perfect. They are californians and would HATE it here the other 10+ months of the year. Not to mention her genius plans to have me strap on a fake belly and try on maternity clothes with my pg SILs. Such a bummer our dog broke a leg, needed surgery and caused us to miss THAT family reunion.
/rant over. Sorry you had to deal with that over Christmas!

Good morning! I have a short work day, I get off at 4. I work with Emerald City Comicon and we just announced we are getting Tom Felton (Draco Malfoy) this year! So excited! Yep, my geeky side is truly showing. : )
I plan on cleaning the house today. I will try and get DH to help, though getting him to step away from Star Wars Old Republic will be hard...
Have a good day!

Amanda - sorry AK wasn't great!
Merrilee - the fake belly story is creepy!
First I was like "OMG Tom Felton!" Then I was like "whaaaatttt??? Her H plays SWTOR Too???" hahahahahhah
Anyways, good luck pulling him away from the computer
Merrilee - CREEPY fake baby belly "plan"
Maybe invite them to visit when we're scheduled for super-nasty weather? Is your H their youngest and that's why they want to be by his babies?
Amandasw - yuck, sorry.
I've been craving almond or lemon poppyseed muffins like no other. It's kind of strange and funny. Yesterday when I got home, I laid on the couch with the heating pad as Tuesday morning PT makes me ache. I was almost asleep before I finished my chapter of my book I was on. I ended up giving up and going to bed, without dinner, at 7 pm! I of course, couldn't go to sleep then, but I was so tired that I was content to just drift in and out of la-la-land in between texting my friend. (She takes like 20 minutes to respond).
Whine: why does everyone always have NYE plans but us? I decided to send out invites on Monday to folks to have a chill NYE at our house just playing games and drinking and eating and chatting. Only 3 of the 25 people invited have responded...why do all our friends get invites but WE never do? UGH. I really just don't even like the stupid holiday anymore and it just ruins my birthday anyway. /whine
LOL. Luckily DH said he would help me clean. He does have all day tomorrow to himself, so he can play all day.
I have no problem with him playing video games. He doesn't mind not playing if I ask. Also I can distract him with my boobs if I want him to stop. : )

I think there would be a problem if he couldn't stop for boobs
I just get excited when there are people outside of our close friends who would know what I'm talking about if I say "My husband plays SWTOR" lol
Good Wednesday afternoon!
Work has been busy, I've been working out like crazy, and I have been going to bed really early every night! I am not sleeping well so i'm gonna stay up late tonight so hopefully i'll be exhausted and sleep through the night. lol. wish me luck.
a friend is on her way over and i've got to see her 3x in the past week... that is more than the past 3 months! kinda excited!
Very true. I hope there aren't that many guys out there (straight ones at least) that would choose video games over boobs. : p
Lol, I'm glad you know what SWTOR is too!
