Re: 2011 Poll

2. What were your happiest moments?
celebrating our anniversary, hosting our first Thanksgiving, enjoying my new ice cream maker (i'm such a dork)
3. What were your saddest moments?
watching my grandmother on a home movie of me as a baby, and missing her so much
4. What was your favorite accomplishment?
me and DH have been committed to eating healthy (i love trying new recipes and we don't eat out much), i met my reading goal for the year (30 books!) and DH and I did our 5k! Also, starting my new job and loving it!
5. Did you have any regrets? What would you have done differently?
not really...
6. What did you learn this year?
i learned that everyone has a story, and it's important to show kindness and compassion to everyone. i also learned how to develop a thicker skin at work
7. What are you looking forward to the most in 2012?

8. Sum up 2011 in ONE word.
settled
(we are settled into our marriage, home, routine, new job, etc. life is just the way i wanted it to be by now!)
1. What were the most fun times you had this year? Our trip to FL in April - it was great spending time with cousins I never see. Fire pit & foo foo drink nights with the NDNs. Trips to PA for family reunion and Christmas party.
2. What were your happiest moments? Having my sister and BIL here for Thanksgiving, DH & my 1st anniversary together.
3. What were your saddest moments? Losing my dad. Nothing ever hit so hard in my life. We also lost our longtime friend/neighbor (my mom's best friend), a cousin and another longtime family friend (my cousin's 93 year old MIL). Lots of deaths this year, 3 of them very unexpected and sudden.
4. What was your favorite accomplishment? Getting the $13,000 visa paid off. Of course I had help, but it's off my shoulders nonetheless.
5. Did you have any regrets? What would you have done differently? Not that I can think of!
6. What did you learn this year? That the most unexpected things happen and the most unexpected times and that life is way too short to hold grudges. I just wish my ILs would see that - after my dad passed it really sunk into DH's head and he's been trying so hard to make his siblings see that.
7. What are you looking forward to the most in 2012? My 40th birthday celebration, paying off all our store charge cards, our niece's wedding and of course the holidays again!

5. Did you have any regrets? Not talking about goals with DH before this. What would you have done differently? . . talked about goals . . .
6. What did you learn this year? I like crocheting better than knitting at the moment . . . I learned right before the end of 2010 and haven't stopped! I also learned that given the right products I LOVE to put on and wear makeup! I absolutely LOVE my Arbonne skin care and makeup I got for myself, my skin has improved so much and I am so happy for that!
7. What are you looking forward to the most in 2012? DH and I working out the goals issue and strengthening our relationship. Another trip to Cape May NJ may be in order (where we used to go early on in our relationship). Oh and Nestie GTG 2!!! :-)
8. Sum up 2011 in ONE word. Rollercoaster!
I have one other idea for something else for this poll if you care to participate:
9. What quote from a song you heard this year made an impact on you or moved you? "There's a difference in living and living well, Can't have it all, all by yourself. Something's always missing 'til you share it with someone else, there's a difference in living and living well." George Strait (It brought home the stupidity of my aunt who gave up on her marriage to my uncle this year)

There are people who understand, will listen and support you without you asking, and give you the final push to do what is needed. Turning to someone for help does not mean you are weak.

Peace.

8. Sum up 2011 in ONE word. Fast
A little late to the party, but thats okay!
1. What were the most fun times you had this year? Our anniversary trip to Boston was a blast, definitely one of the most fun. My 25th birthday party was also pretty awesome. And the get together in NYC!
2. What were your happiest moments? The above were some of my happiest times. I also just got a raise and promotion which made me pretty happy.
3. What were your saddest moments? I don't remember being too sad this year. The worst was probably throughout all of the house buying drama, where it looked like things weren't going to work out.
4. What was your favorite accomplishment? Achieving my New Years Resolution from last year of saving money to buy a house! We are in our house and I love it.
5. Did you have any regrets? What would you have done differently? I definitely didn't save as much as I should/could have. This one is silly, but I got a little too drunk at the Patriots game that I went to with DH and I think I stopped him from having as much fun as he could have, I would have drank a lot less that day haha.
6. What did you learn this year? That perseverence pays off, and when there is something in your way of what you want you just have to fight harder to get it.
7. What are you looking forward to the most in 2012? The baby coming in July! Eeek!
8. Sum up 2011 in ONE word. Expensive.
