NPR s/o Tourist Restrictions
This morning on NPR there was discussion about how some leaders would like to make Egyptian tourists respect the country's religious beliefs.
The examples, prohibit public alcohol consumption and segegating beaches based on gender.
Egypt is an Islamic nation, so I understand these suggestions. What are your thoughts? Would you be less likely to travel to a place if your social life was dictated by a nation's religion?

I think it depends on the restriction and the place being visited. Separation of men and women - no. Keeping my head or something else covered - yes. When visiting the Vatican (which technically is its own country), I had to cover my shoulders and knees. That was true for a lot of the churches I toured in Italy, even though it was really hot and many did not have air conditioning.
I agree with this. We did the same thing when we were at the Vatican and it was HOT. We just changed our clothes when we were done with our touring.
