would you fax credit card info?

I'm trying to make my mexico hotel reservations and they want a deposit (which is fine) but my options are sending a form via either fax or email.  neither sounds like a good idea to me.

Re: would you fax credit card info?

  • We've had to do a fair amount of this when booking things in Mexico & have never had a problem. I personally think that it's safer than emailing it.
  • I would say fax is safer, unless you send multiple messages where no one email contains the card #.  I've had cc stolen and my money was promptly refunded,
  • At work we deal with confidential medical records all.the.time and the standard thought process is that fax is more secure than email....so with that being said, I think I'd feel more comfortable faxing my credit card # to Mexico instead of emailing it.
no identifiable siggy pictures anymore, thanks a lot stupid nest!
