What to do NYE for teens?
What are some things you did as a teenager on NYE?
dd1 and a friend want to do more than just 'hang out' but I don't want them driving all over and they are having a difficult time coming up with something. Her friend suggested skate at the lake in Evergreen which dd has no desire to do, a movie dd has seen so she's trying to come up with stuff.

Re: What to do NYE for teens?
We often would have a small get together at someone's house b/c our parents didn't want us out and about driving around.
I used to go sit at the very top of Conifer Mtn and watch all the fireworks from all of Denver. You can see past the airport from up there, it's pretty amazing. I used to live pretty close to the top of the mtn so it was close but it does involve some very easy climbing to get to the top behind the fire station.
I don't know if Chatfield is too far but they have their trail of lights up that could be fun to see, You can get there off of S. Turkey Creek Rd so no highways involved.
Conifer is a hard place to find things to do without having to drive far. That's the one thing that I hated about living there and that was before they actually started opening chain restaurants and such.
I don't remember a fire station at the top of CMtn. How far is it from 285? I have driven pretty far up but don't know just where to stop to see the fireworks, that would be cool. Or there are a couple of places on City View Dr. I am thinking of to do the same. Chatfield isn't too bad, good idea. Thanks!

We went to raging house parties. JK...kind of.
A few couples would go out to dinner somewhere nice but affordable for a teenager, then we'd gather at someone's house and watch NYE stuff on tv. As we were seniors in HS, we definitely did some underage drinking in the safety of someone's house.
Bowling? I don't know what would be close to you or if that's an option, but I know the bowling alley near me is offering a package deal with food, drinks, and bowling until the wee hours. They turn out the lights/have glow-in-the-dark balls or pins or something, blast their music, etc.
I've been to that sort of thing with friends on non-NYE weekend nights when I was younger, and it tends to be full of other teen/youngish types.

DD went to a Pristeen event on the 30th that was actually really cool and a great idea. They had several DJs and several dance floors. It is for 14 - 20 year olds. Lots of supervision and stuff. I loved that it was the 30th instead of the 31st. DD said there was close to 1000 people there. I guess they do 4 of these dances a year. DD absolutely wants to go to the next one. She had a BLAST!
So yeah she went on on the 30th and then she hung with friends last night.
