Best place to order kitchen cabinets?

Looking into pricing kitchen cabinets for our remodel and seeing where the best place to get cabinets, we need lots of them Tongue Tied  Any thoughts??  Thanks for any ideas..

Re: Best place to order kitchen cabinets?

  • Ikea has some cool cabinets.  We got ours at Home Depot and they weren't overly $$
  • Depends on what level of cabinet quality you want.  After two months of research, I went mid-upper line with StarMark, we got a rustic (knotty) hickory with a raised panel door and just stain (no glaze), plywood boxes and cusion close/under drawer tracks are std.

I know I got a good deal and I highly recommend the dealer; A Cabinet Company in Englewood.  They buy at deep discounts b/c they are a high volume distributor for SM.  Some other dealers don't do the volume so their buying discount is lower hence higher price to you.  When you are looking check into this tidbit, it can save you in the long run.  I shopped from CL, referrals and stopped in at HDepot as well.  I chose them because for the money I got the best cabinets I can afford and those guys are honest and straight forward.

  • I was going to suggest checking Ikea as well.
  • I hear Ikea is good on price but since they had nothing in a rustic style I didn't even look a their prices, quality or construction.  If you are wanting modern/comtemporary that could be a good place to start.

  • We ended up getting our Shenandoah cabinets at Lowe's. They had some good specials running when we were shopping and the prices were the best compared to Home Depot or Floor and Decor Outlets. We were looking for solid wood doors. Ikea wasn't open yet when we did our kitchen so no advice there, but I would just say decide what style you want and construction (solid wood, etc.) and then compare prices at a couple places.
