App recs for iPad?

We got an iPad for Xmas and was wondering what your face apps were, preferably free or less than a couple bucks. Any kind (games, tools, programs, etc). We haven't ever had a phone or anything that u can download apps with, so I have no idea what's out there! Thanks!

    I've been meaning to post the same question because we got one for Christmas as well.  I downloaded the Pinterest app and like that a lot.  I honestly haven't had much time to play around on it yet.  Maya has more apps on there than I do!

    My parents and sister have an app that ask you to point to whatever letter it is naming. It starts out with 3 letters on the screen and gradually adds one so there are more letter to look through. There is a choice of fun fonts (animals as letters, that kind of thing) and upper or lower case, as well as numbers. This might actually be more than one app, I'm not sure, but I will find out what it is called. It is such a huge hit with Nicholas that I was afraid he'd be disappointed that he doesn't have it on his Innotab.

    Fruit ninja is a fun game. I use pinterest and groupon apps a lot.

    My sister said she got the alphabet apps from Grasshopper Apps. She doesn't remember if they were free or not but said if they weren't they were probably a buck.

    I like Cozi for my planner. Elmo calls is fun and free. Myfitnesspal for weight loss. Joann's for free coupons. And a weather alert one that goes off if there is a tornado.

    I'm pretty boring though :-) I'm sure there are better ones out there!
