Knit Sweater Pattern Question
I'm knitting a sweater, and it was knit in the round from the bottom up to the armholes. Now i'm working on the back (knit flat).
The pattern says to knit in pattern until the armhole measure 7 inches. Is that 7 inches along the edge or 7 inches of pattern? There was some decreasing when I split for the armholes, so the edge is slightly longer (about 1inch) than pattern.
Thanks!

Re: Knit Sweater Pattern Question
You want to measure from where you split your work at the armpit, right when you started the decreases.
However, don't measure along the curve of the decreases, you won't get an accurate figure. Measure a straight line of stitches from the top of your work now down to the row where you made the split.

Thank you! This was my first thought, but then I second guessed myself.
