Update: he's not coming
He just sent an email saying he wasn't going to go into detail, but asked me to let Tman know that he's sorry that he won't be there for his baptism, but to let him know how proud he is of him and his important decision.
Sad. I'm not sure if his feelings are hurt because of the email I sent or if he thinks that it will be too hard for him and my mom to act like they should. Either way, it's pretty lame.

Any chance he could come down another weekend and join you guys for lunch after a regular church service or something so that he can tell Tman how proud he is of him in person?
