Do you have one (or more)? If so, what do you resolve to do in the new year?
Re: New Year's Resolutions
I have quite a few- haha. Major ones: run a 1/2 Marathon in October, get down to a size 8 pant, spend a little time on me every day (even if that is just going to the gym), be the best wife I can be
I don't usually do the resolution thing, but I do have some goals for 2012.
Lose a little more weight & have b-pics taken.
Party like a rockstar in Vegas and get it out of my system.
Renovate the kitchen (ugh, just thinking about this makes me exhausted).
We might be on the baby train next year (yikes), so there's a lot that needs to get done before that.
My resolution is quit eating at McDonalds? no matter what!
Also not taking out of the second savings account for anything/making a deposit in the same account every paycheck.
I quit taking BCP?s about 4 months ago because I?ve been on BC probably for 9 years or so and started temping. I just keep the thermometer in the headboard and take my temp every morning, and put the data in the OvuView app. So far so good, and I?ve also lost about 10 lbs!!
I was on the pill for a few years in college, then off for a couple years, then on again for a few years. I stopped taking them.....maybe a year ago? I didn't notice anything different. FWIW, though, I didn't really have side effects when I was on them either. (We're not TTC .)
Well that's good to know. I'm mainly concerned that my acne will get bad again. And that I'll go back to the really long heavy super-crampy periods I had in high school. But I'm really hoping I've outgrown that by now.
That would be awesome!!!
We took a NFP class before we got married, and it was very interesting. I think it will take a lot of work, but it is definitely doable, and the science behind it makes complete sense. Good luck! Hopefully you will feel a lot better off of BCP!

I was afraid of the same things.
You definitely won't have the super light periods anymore, but hopefully it won't be too bad. I used to have really heavy periods in high school too.....7 or 8 solid days, and the timing was all over the place, it sucked. Now I'm somewhere more in the middle for flow and the timing is fairly consistent. Sorry if that's TMI.
Woohooo!!

Can't wait for updates along the way! Do you already have an idea of what you want to do?
EEK!! How exciting!!
Those are excellent goals! I might steal both of those as well!
I don't usually do resolutions, more like goals.
Mine are: be more patient (esp. w/the kids), workout, pray/read Bible more, get to places early (not on time or late), less computer time (sorry Nest
)
- Keep better track of our budget/not be such a tightwad with money
- Read 100 books
- Help DH eat healthier
- Be a good wife!
I think this is great! NFP/FAM is a little more complicated, but it's so nice to know exactly what you're body is doing! I've been off BCP since May, and the only downside for me is that my acne is raging. Other than that, no real change. I recommend reading Taking Charge of Your Fertility. It's super helpful whether you are TTC or TTA. It explains what you're body is doing and how to use NFP/FAM to your advantage.
Just came across this today. I think this will be my resolutions:

That was great! Thanks for posting!
