Re: Friday!
I have two PSAs:
#1 - If you enjoy baking, Walgreens has their Christmas stuff 50% off. Included in this are full size bags of Nestle chocolate chips ($1.66 a bag), half size cans of Clabber Girl baking powder ($0.48 ea. expires in late 2013), one pound boxes of powdered and brown sugar ($0.68 ea) and various other baking goodies. These are great deals and since they aren't "coupon" deals there was good stock at my Walgreens.
#2 - If your bra band size is 36 or larger (up to like 46 I think?) and your cup size is C or larger (up to G) - Cacique by Lane Bryant is having a buy two bras, get two free sale. If you buy online there are codes for free shipping and $15 off $50 on retailmenot.com. I bought in store yesterday and got four bras for $86, including tax. I find these bras to be on par with Victoria's Secret, nice quality and well made.
ETA: The bras are standard sizes, not plus sizes, so even if you are not "plus sized" but have a larger rib cage you can take advantage of this deal.
To piggy back off of Leslie, since VS and LB used to be owned by the same company (The Limited spun off LB a few years ago), they are still made by the same people.
I got a text late last night asking if I could meet with my officers this morning around 10 AM. That's fine and I'm going but I can't believe I'm going to be so busy on my last day of break. We also have to take Sally to the vet. Fun....
I'll ask this here. Yesterday, I got contact lenses for the first time ever. I tried when I was 18 and they just wouldn't work right for me. I would ask every couple of years if there were any new developments but was always told no. Well, yesterday we went to an awesome new optometrist (a little more expensive) and he was able to help me get a contact in my eye. I was able to get the other one in less than five minutes and then I got them both out within ten minutes. Before, it took me about an hour just to get one in and the lady would scream at me. Such a better experience!!!!
Thanks for the info Leslie! I need to get the baking stuff because I'm making these cool jar things with all the ingredients for cookies in it for my baby shower hostess gifts and I will be needing the baking supplies. And the bras...I just told David last night I think everything is finally growing because my bras hurt so he told me to go get some new ones. I don't want to buy 4 right now since I know they will probably grow more over the next few weeks/months but I'm glad to hear Lane Bryant has good bras.
I'm finally feeling better. I slept almost all day yesterday since I woke up and my entrie face was swollen and hurt. I feel so much better today and I'm excited for the 3 day weekend. We are going on a date night tonight, tomorrow we are having a party at the house and I'm making homemade chili with deer meat from a friend! I usually wait until it's freezing outside but I couldn't pass up the deer meat and David begged for it.
I'm only here until 1 today and then it's off to get a pedi and do some shopping. Hope everyone has a good NYE!
I am preparing my 2012 wall calendar (marking the ever so important holidays to count down to, of course!) and I realized that next year's holidays are going to be weird. Example: July 4th is on a Wednesday.
It makes me very happy to put up a nice new calendar. I *may* be an organization freak. Slightly.
I get to leave early today, yay me. I was going to go get a pedicure, but since I accidentally dropped and smashed Cosmo's insulin on the floor this morning... I guess I will be going to the pharmacy to replace it, instead. Boo!
Hope everyone has a lovely and Happy New Year!
i've got nothin..it's friday, i want to get off work early. all my coworkers keep bothering my boss about letting us go at noon. maybe just maybe.
Is anyone else on polyvore.com? i'm addicted. I love seeing how other people wear my clothes. and i love making sets out of the clothes i own. and then making dream outfits. apparently dh likes me having it, bc it gives him ideas on what to get me for gifts
I am the same way! I love getting new calendars!
I haven't been on this week because of the new job. I'm here alone today, but have a ton of work to do. Just too a break to say hello! I'll have to spend some time actually catching up on everything. Hope I didn't miss anything.

That sucks Tiffany. The only thing I miss about our old vinyl floors is the softness. Now if I drop something it always breaks.
I have decided to participate in the GP signature challenge this month, thus my new addition to my sig. You guys will understand the onesie much better than many of the girls over there since you know my full name. I stumbled over it and had a rush of emotion. Seriously considering ordering it (in light blue so it's more gender neutral) so that I can give it to Randall the day we finally find out we have a "Ford Tough" baby on board.
Dana - You could always buy four right now and buy three in different sizes and one in your current size. With a receipt you should be able to exchange them since it will be pretty soon that you will need the bigger bras.
I bought one with a loud leopard print yesterday because it was so soft. I am so not a leopard person but it makes both DH and I laugh when I put it on, so it was a good buy.
I'm home on vacation today, and I woke up pretty energized to do some things around the house. First thing, I got up and uinloaded the dishwasher ... and when I was finished, realized the little cube of detergent was still in the bottom. Meaning, those dishes were just washed with water, not soap. So I had to find all those dishes and reload them, and am running it again ... but not very optimistic it'll release the soap this time, either.
That was the one existing appliance we kept from the previous owner, too, so I don't have an owner's manual or anything to read to figure out if I'm doing something wrong or if it's broken. Sigh.
Y'all are making me want a new calendar. I think of myself as organized, but I've never actually done that -- marked days on the calendar in advance. I might just have to do that!
Marie - Ours did this and I just had to clean out the gunk around the release hatch and it was all good again. Google it and the instructions will come up. It does involve taking off the door usually but it's truly not a big deal and is just some screwdriver work. Hope this works for you too!
Me too Lacey!
Man...now I want to go to Simply Fondue. Cheese, bread, chocolate, fruit...oh my!
Leslie I love the sig pictures you have! Great way to also remember your goals all the time.
We are having our foundation repaired today. DH is at home watching the process and I'm just terrified I'm going to come home to a broken house. They say tiles and sheet rock can all break or fall in the process. I think we might have to at least redo our entire guest bathroom!
<a href="http://www.thenest.com/?utm_source=ticker&utm_medium=HTML&utm_campaign=tickers" title="Home D
Marie - I use the cubes too, and sometimes big serving spoons will block the little door and keep it from opening, so I end up with the same problem. You can toss them down in the bottom of the dishwasher, and it'll work just fine, or kind of smoosh it against the soap well but not close the door, and it'll stay there long enough for everything to get started.
Deepthi - after having your foundation fixed, your house will continue to shift for at least 6 months, so don't fix anything right away, because it'll be a waste of your time.
Leslie - I want Simply Fondue too, but when I tried to explain it to J, he did not like the idea of it, so I'm going to have to find someone else to go with.
I am still sick - I slept for 12 hours last night, and feel like I could sleep some more if I wasn't mad at myself for sleeping my vacation time away. I hope my antibiotic kicks in and I feel better before my break is over... last night I was so mad that I've been sick almost the entire time.
Hubby is in line for a promotion at work, and we're so excited. We're crossing our fingers he gets it.
I'm getting a mani/pedi and getting my hair done today. I'm kinda wanting to go into the new year with a new look.
Stephen conned me into getting a 3 month old Yorkshire terrier puppy. He looked so cute holding him, so I couldnt say no. Well, at first I did, but once I saw them together, it almost looked like love at first sight LOL. I explained to him that this is HIS puppy, not mine. He gets to take care of it, not me. lol. But, I've gotten attached to him too, so I guess I'll help.
Pictures, please!!
Yay for a new puppy!
Ugh, another tough workout at the gym. I am wondering if I will ever feel back to normal. ALL I have wanted to do since Christmas is sleep. I have taken a nap every day. This vacation has kind of sucked. Today we are getting Mel's car out of the shop (took it in Monday) and will possibly, maybe, pick mine up too after a month in the shop. Both cars are in Arlington within 5 minutes of each other so we are trying to coordinate picking up both. If mine isn't ready today I will cry because it will mean 2 trips to Arlington and Monday I will be spending my final day of vacation going out there.
Have I mentioned this vacation has sucked? Oh and Tiffany, I saw those weird holidays too--it's a leap year this next year. Everything is wonky.
