Applying for jobs post maternity leave
When should I start applying for a new job for after maternity leave? I posted on 9 to 5 and one person answered with "start now". My plan is 6-8 weeks off...so mid to end of April is when I would want to start.

love is for every her, love is for every him, love is for everyone
Here is really the bigger thing about applying with a questions.
1) Is your medical insurance through your company or through your husbands?
If your medical insurance and baby is through your company, do not quit while on maternity leave. If you would quit while on maternity leave, the company has the right to push your departure date back to the first day of maternity leave which means, your insurance will stop the last day of a working day. This means, your delivery and baby charges at the hospital will not be covered.
So, if you accept a job while on maternity leave, go back and work 1 day at minimu (I would recommend at least 3 days), then quit. This way your company takes you out of maternity leave status and all hospital charges are covered because then your last day is after delivery.
If your medical benefits are through your husband's, apply and have fun.
