Bella Bands-PIP of bloat bump before/after :(

If you used them did they work for you?  My bloat is insane and I look like I'm already 4+ months pregnant.  None of my work pants or jeans fit.  I'm sitting here with my pants undone (I wear flowy shirts to hide that).  Not sure I'm ready for maternity clothes so I'm thinking of trying the Bella Bands or something like them.

AFTER (bloat):

I mean I heard that you start showing earlier with your second one (I showed very early with Suri) but this is insane.

  • I was a big fan of the BeBand (Target's version of the Bella Band) - I wore it from about 7 weeks until 13 when I decided to move to maternity pants

  • The bloat will go down!

But in the mean time, you can do the bella bands, or the rubber band trick. Loop the rubber band/hair tie through your button hole and then over your button. It allows that extra give in your pants.

If you do the bella band I found it easiest to tuck one side under my waist band then fold the top over my pants.

  • I hated the BeBand. It never stayed put and I was always fixing it. I prefer the rubber band trick.

I was really bloated around wk 9 but then the bloat calmed down a little and now (16 wks)  I'm holding on to 1 pair of pre-pregnancy jeans but the rest are mat pants. As a matter of fact I am hemming some mat. pants right now.

  • I have the BeBand from Target but haven't needed it yet. I've just started having to unbutton my jeans when I'm lounging on the couch but I forgot it at work so I haven't worn it yet.

I just bought my first pair of maternity jeans earlier this week (and got a pair from my friend). I tried the ones that go under your belly but honestly it didn't feel all that different from my regular pants. The stretchy band on those is a thicker material than the full panel ones so I think I'll wear my bella band with my regular jeans until I move over to the full panels (and probably fold them down for a little while too).

  • I hated the beband. I tried to use it both pregnancies and it was no good for me. I much preferred the rubber band trick. I have fluff in my gut, though, and I think that was the issue. Every time I sat it would just roll down.
