Re: clicky: target or walmart

  • We do not have a Target. But lucky for me our Walmart is actually quite clean. If I lived back over in the Seattle area Target would have been my answer.

  • walmart makes my skin crawl. i used to be ALL about walmart.. i never thought it was horrible.. now i refuse to step foot in one unless i really have to.

we have to today though. my dad bought h a gift set for xmas and he wouldn't use it... wish me luck.

  • I have worked at Target several different times and I loved working there! I am very anti-Walmart. Maybe it's because all the ones I've been to seemed to be dingy with horrible lighting and small aisles.

    Go Target!  )

  • All Wal-Marts I have been in kind of make my skin crawl. I just don't feel comfortable there. Part of it could be that some of my more questionable extended family members shop only there. I only set foot in a Wal-Mart as a last resort. Target is the way to go!

  • I know this is of no relevance but I love Fred Meyers.

  • I have not stepped foot in a Walmart in over 8 years. I would sell my soul to the devil before I shopped at Walmart.

That being said, I haven't been to Target in over a year either, because there isn't one close to me. However 2 years ago when I lived at the Landing in Renton - I practically lived at Target out of boredom.

  • I've never been to Walmart Surprise  and I didn't even go to Target/know it existed until maybe college?  living inside the city, they just don't have them or didn't until more recently.

Fred Meyers is nice. We go there for our grocery shopping.

  • I grew up shopping at Fred Meyer. My dad hated Walmart and Anchorage didn't get it's first Target until 2009. That being said, I think Fred Meyers didn't come until the early 90's either.

Unfortunately I find that Fred Meyers usually only has half of what I am looking for so we stopped going there. At least the one in Lynnwood.

  • I won't shop at walmart or their other companies (like Sam's Club).

Do occasionally love me some target, but we almost never go as it's out of the way for us (there's not one downtown).

  • So I like Sam's Club over Costco, but I like Target WAY more than Wal Mart.  Typically I can find more of what I'm looking for in there, and it's a lot more...better haha.  Well, that and H and I thwarted a car robbery at the Wal Mart on 164th once o.O Pretty much avoid it as much as I can since then.

  • i think i'm the only walmart fan. yes, it's dirty, yes, they put pressure on suppliers, yes, they are greedy, etc etc etc...but it's cheap, close to home, and has everything i need. i don't shop for clothes, jewelery, or good or anything there...but when i need printer paper, q-tips, tylenol....it's definitely the most efficient place for me to go.
