I know this is a long shot, but does anyone have any tween movies that are um, well if not good, at least bearable?
Bug is having a New Year's sleepover. I asked what she wanted to do, she said watch movies and eat popcorn. What movie? "I dunno, something everybody hasn't seen... maybe New Year's related."
She loves Disney tween crap, Selena Gomez, Lemonade Mouth. She likes the classics (Labyrinth, Princess Bride).
PG-13 is okay, they're mostly 13 now anyway (::sobs::) I'd hesitate on R. Yes, I'm that mom.
I was thinking Spirited Away is cool, and slightly creepy, but I wasn't sure if animated is too young.

Re: tween movies? (xp to ML)
Movies I liked when I was 13:
Casper
Now And Then
The Sandlot
While You Were Sleeping
All excellent choices. Now, I'm going to pop in the Now and Then soundtrack.
Percy Jackson & the Lightning Theif
Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants
Diary of a Wimpy Kid
Back to the Future
Beetlejuice
Goonies
Ice Castles!!! (THE ORIGINAL!)
Mean Girls
The Prince & ME (remember Julia Stiles? Awww julia)
*runs in circles*
yessss
There were some other good suggestions here also.
I love the Now & Then soundtrack. I believe I would thoroughly enjoy a sleepover with HT and Buddha. As long as I don't get shunned for never having seen Newsies and I checked, it's not even in our massive DVD collection.
Other movies I loved when I was younger(and still do) are Princess Bride and The Neverending Story.
They might be a bit young (I think I was a freshman when I saw it), but
SHAG!!!!111ONE
Sixteen Candles?
