Any quilters/sewers?

I did a baby quilt for my DD.  Its just 5 inch squares, very simple.  It's all put together but I still need to actually quilt it.  I am just going to use stich in the ditch on my machine but have been told there is a special foot that I should get to keep that material from bunching.  Anyone know what I am talking about?  Know the type of foot I need?

Thanks!

Re: Any quilters/sewers?

  • If this is the only quilt that you plan on doing then just use the foot that is on your machine- it works just doesn't work as good as a walking foot.

  • It is called a walking foot- it has feeders at the foot and uses yours on the machine to pull all the layers of fabric through.
