What to wear question..
We're going out tomorrow night for NYE and all the girls are wearing dresses, but I feel very uncomfortable in them. Also, I'm at my highest weight I've ever been so I'm also pretty self conscious. I'm currently about a 14 with Big thighs and hips.
I guess I'm wondering what would be a good option since jeans aren't acceptable. Oh and I want to keep it as low (price point) as possible seeing as how I'll probably only wear this once.

This is what I would wear. Sparkly top, blazer-type jacket, skinny jeans, boots.
I only wear dresses to church.

That was what I was going to wear.
I just wish there was another option besides dress pants and a shirt lol. I guess I should have though of this before today.

I am one of those people that should not wear skinny pants. I'm fully aware of this and accept it. Ha!
I'm about the same size as you and despise wearing dresses, but wore one to my work Christmas party and *think* it looked okay. The dress cost me $20 on clearance at Kohls, and I already had the shoes and cardigan. It was made of a flowy fabric that hid problem areas.

I have something kind of similar to this. It's one shoulder and the same print. I think I'm going to hem mine to my fingertips, black tights and some heels.
One shoulder with tights, but without a cardigan wouldn't look stupid, right?
I think it would be okay but I don't know that I'd hem it to your finger tips, maybe about 5 inches or so above your knees? For me personally that's way too sort. But that comes from the mouth of a girl who is 5'8'' tall and has 3'8'' of legs.
I guess I should have mentioned that I'm like 5'2" so my fingertips would be about 5 inches above my knees.
Oh okay. That makes a lot more sense! I think it would look cute then! Go for it.
