So I'm not sure if I told you all... BF and I decided it's best for us if I start looking fro jobs in the town 2 hours away... We will be apart for a little bit but it's better for us in the long run. I got a call for an interview today! I'm a little nervous because I don't know much about the job. It's an admin position, full time. It's through a hiring agency though. Is this something to be concerned about? No it's not a craigslist post and the agency is legit. Why do companies use agencies? Is there a good reason for it? I honestly don't know lol.
Re: Fingers Crossed!!!
Do you mean that if you were hired you'd be an employee of the agency working at the employer's site or do you mean that an agency is doing the hiring but the hired candidate will be directly employed by the employer? There are legit reasons either way, but the reasons are sometimes different, so I want to answer your question correctly.
There are a few reasons an employer might use a recruiter in a situation like that:

Just be alarmed if they want you to give them any $ for anything (creating a portfolio for you, filing your paper work etc)
