A former coworker just lost her DH and she had 2 little boys at home. One is 6 and one is alomost 2 with special needs. I want to get her a gift card to have food delivered sometime at home, but not pizza. Anyone know of a place in Ankeny that does that?
Re: home food delivery
That's very thoughtful of you.
Thai Flavors, Jimmy John's, China Moon, and Dragon House East (depending on her location) are the only non-pizza delivery locations in Ankeny of which I'm aware.
It looks like Noodle Zoo delivers too.
Palmer's says it does, but it must be for events as it's a $40 minimum plus a $10 delivery fee.
Oh, and China Moon I know is at least a $15 minimum. I know he had been thinking of raising it to $20 to cover the increasing fuel costs, but I'm not sure if he ever did.
On second look, Noodle Zoo has a $5 delivery fee for orders under $50, has a limited delivery area, and recommends 24 hours advance notice.
Just go with my first answers.
Palmers sounds good, you could get a nice selection of things to make a couple of meals.
What about HyVee?? They might do delivery on meat/cheese trays and things. I've had a cake delivered before.
Also, sending up prayers for your friend....so, so sad.
