GASP! Woolies!!!

I can knit now, people! I *just* realized I can now make my own woolies for CDing our next LO. Does anyone have a good pattern to start out with (so far I've only knit hats) or any tips and tricks? DrL? I know you've done it, right?

Are they really as leak-proof as some say? How about for nighttime? Any input???

Re: GASP! Woolies!!!

  • ravelry has a ton. I have a simple pattern for a skirtie if the LO is a girl, and I think it's something like Little Firecracker (?) who has a pattern you can use for soakers, longies or shorties, it just depends on how much yarn you have and how long you want to knit.

I like this pattern for longies as well. It really holds your hand and walks you through it.

They are pretty leak-proof if you lanolize properly and take care of them. Knit longies are not the go-to option for night--interlock is going to be more bulletproof. That said, I'm pretty sure I've used them overnight without major issues.
