Happy New Year + 2012 Goals!

It's already NYE in Australia! 2 of my brothers are visiting and a friend from work is coming over to watch the fireworks! I went out last night so I am not planning on drinking and will wake up feeling good and healthy for a new year... going to go running and swimming!

My 2012 goals are

1) Run 5k in the morning 4 days a week

2) Go to cross fit 4 days a week

3) Save 25K

4) Spend time with my sister's baby!

  • Happy New Year! Your goals sound amazing! Mine are pretty weak! 1. Switch to an all (mostly) cash system so I don't spend so carelessly. 2. Sort my mail as soon as I get it, so that junk mail doesn't pile up in my office. 3. Pay off my car in March. 4. My company is switching from the 15th and end of month paychecks to bi-weekly, I want the extra two paychecks to be just that...extra! 5. Wake up when my alarm goes off, and not hit snooze!

    Im going to continue my progress in therapy and make an attempt to Be a neater person (my room is a mess right now!).  Also going to be more positive and have less pity parties

    1. Sell home shared with STBX

    2. Find a rental for me and my dog (who happens to be a restricted breed) so this will be a little bit harder

    3. Graduate in May with my undergraduate degree

    4. Move to another position at work

    5. Be more active

  • 1) Co-parent successfully

    2) Buy a house

    3) Furnish house

    4) Finalize divorce

    5) Kick a$$ at work

    5) Learn Spanish on my commute

    6) Start a regular health activity (yoga, tennis etc)

    7) Build my savings account

    3) Reach my ultimate (and maintainable) goal weight

    4) Sell my house and move back to my hometown and save myself the 40 minute commute

    My goals for 2012 are:

    1) Build a little bit of an emergency fund 

    2) Be more active and actually lose the 10-15 pounds I want to lose

    3) Make my 30th birthday vacation happen (Italy for 2 weeks!)

    4) Try and have a more positive outlook on life

    5) Be a better friend to all the great people in my life

  • Weight Watchers theme for 2012 is BELIEVE! As strange as it may sound I think it is a good theme to BELIEVE in Yourself and BELIEVE it can be a better year. I and going to try to exercise more, lose 20 lbs and start dating again.

  • Made my list this morning:

    1- get enough sleep

    2- do more yoga

    3- drink more water

    4- read more

    5- laugh more

    6- learn to sew

    7- bake my way through a bread book

    8- deepen friendships

    9- spend more time with family

    10- go to Costa Rica

    11- heal

    12- get a roommate

    13- ride my bike more

    14- wear more dresses

    15- complain less

    16- gossip less

    17- love more, accept more

    18- be authentic

    19- find God

    20- live in the present & take each day as it comes

  • I love this!  Here are mine:

    -become a CFP (this is contingent on my test results which should be back in about three weeks

    -cut down on my grocery bill each month

    -sock more into savings

    -organize my house

    -put away $50/month into DS' college fund (already set this up for automatic deposit

    -negotiate and get a substantial raise

    -be more diligent at work

    -take on more new clients on my own

    -continue working on being more positive

    -no more gossiping at work

    -have conversations with people if there is something they have done that I am bothered by

    -continue standing up to XH and stick to my guns about visitation

    -spend more active time with DS and be more present when we're together (rather than on FB, texting, etc)

    -cut down on FB time

  • 1) Pass the NCLEX

    2) Get up before going into the office to work out at least three mornings a week

    3) Stop spending so much time online

    4) Move into a nicer placer

    5) Find a home for my cats

    6) Take a vacation

    7) Contribute double what I have been into my IRA
