NYE WWYD

So I am torn. I have several options for tonight. I had settled on saying home with my dog and ordering Chinese food, drinking wine and watching movies.

BUT my brother is insisting I join him and his fiancee and another couple for NYE. They are going to a restaurant that is having a 20s themed party. I do have a nice outfit I could wear to it. It would be a nice to ring in the new year with family.

I don't know though. I am in a funky mood and sort of just want to ring in the new year alone. 2012 is going to be all about me and bettering myself, might as well start it by myself versus with couples right?

What would you do???

Re: NYE WWYD

  • Oh this post is null and void. My bro can't change the reservation for their dinner plans so I can't be included.

I am really okay being alone (first time ever I will be) but I sure wish one of my friends would have come over like that scene from Sex and the City haha. I feel okay being alone but it's not fun to feel lonely. :/

My ex just asked if he could take my dog for the night so his dog has company since he is going out (which he wrote 3 different times in his email)...um NO!

  • That's too bad.  Could you just show up and add a chair at the end of the table?

Oh man, just the thought of it made me choke up a little bit!  I'm sure you'll be okay too - just don't drink too much and get overly melancholy.  2012 is a fresh start for all of us, it's a great thing.

I'm a bit bummed about NYE too.  I am spending it with my best friend and her "non-boyfriend" (someone she claims she isn't dating anymore, but obviously is).  I think I'm just going to spend most of the night with them and duck out before midnight so I don't feel like a 3rd wheel when the ball drops.  ::le sigh::

Onward and upward, Happy New Year, and CHEERS!  SurpriseDrinks
