Sorry to be such a PW today, but I know you girls will understand this. I am making a quilt for my friend's rodeo queen coronation next month (Miss Rodeo Nebraska...soooo excited for her!) and I decided to do the same quilt I made for DD before she was born, which would have been my first real start-to-finish quilt.
I'm sitting here making the square in a square (on the bias) blocks that I STRUGGLED with when making Lily's quilt, and I'm breezing through them! I remember coming on here and asking for advice, that was back when I was a beginner quilter.
Another big difference is having a nice sewing machine. My Pfaff lifts the foot up a teeny bit so you can chain piece like it's nobody's business, and the built in walking foot is amazing in dealing with sewing on the bias...I am no longer going to avoid it like I did.
Anyway, just wanted to reminisce. lol I'm having such an enjoyable morning! DH took DD to breakfast at the diner here in town, and has been working on cleaning out the garage of our rental, so I've been all alone all morning, just listening to Pandora radio, drinking coffee, and sewing. It's been bliss.
