Re: Bring it, 2012!

  • Let's see....

I'm going back to school for the first time in 5 years after a long hard battle of trying to get there.  I'm both scared and excited at the same time, but I can't wait!

I am turning 30 in April and I'm embracing it.  Celebrating it in Vegas is going to be pretty sweet as well.  Also celebrating a friend's wedding while we're there... guess I shouldn't forget about that.  And it'll be my first time out there ever, so yay!

Speaking of weddings, other than the one in April, we will have two to attend this year - one in July, and one in August.

Samma will be 2 years old in September, and we will be celebrating our THIRD wedding anniversary!

Got a feelin' 2012 is gonna be a good year~

  • We're going to Kentucky in April to stay in a B&B for the first time with some friends and explore some of the bourbon trail.

DH and I are going to Jamaica in May, unless a few circumstances change by the time we book our trip, in which case we'll buy a tempurpedic bed (pretty awesome alternative, IMO) and take a slightly smaller trip.

I told DH I am going to Boston sometime this year, with or without him. We're making this happen, ladies!

Hopefully this will be the year DH gets promoted, although it might be next year. Either way, he'll be getting a lot of experience on his new shift to help him when the promotion comes up. :)

Sure! No set plans. We're just talking it around. I'm just thinking a long weekend Thurs-Sunday or something.

  • * Hopefully starting IVF in February or March

    * Going to Disney in February

Everything else is kind of up in the air depending on the 1st thing. I'd still like to get at least one more trip in this year. Maybe Italy if I'm really lucky, but who knows. This year is kind of in flux depending on the outcomes of things..

  • I am going to either get a promotion or a new job- write it down, if I am still in the same spot as I am currently I will quit my job.

Charlotte turns 1- we also celebrate one year in our home.

remodel of our back yard- putting in a cooking station and a fire pit as well as replacing our retaining wall. I cannot wait!

Hopefully making our house more of a home- right now it still feels a little disjointed.

  • Fulfilling jobs for both of us

    Move to NC

    Three weddings, bridesmaid in one

Some type of real vacation, probably to the Caribbean with my family

    image
  • Let's see:

In February we're taking Ellie to Kansas City to see the Fresh Beat Band Live (it's a Nick Jr. show about 4 teenagers who have a band and she LOVES it.) We're going to spend the night and maybe go to the zoo as well if it's not too cold.

    In May Ellie turns 2!

    In June Guy turns 30!

In September our friends are getting married. They haven't asked their wedding party yet but I'm hoping Ellie will get to be flower girl.

At some point we may make a trip up to SD to visit my dad. I haven't seen him since I graduated college 4 years ago, and he's not in the best health so I'd like to see him.

Hopefully Stees (and maybe MB!) will come visit.

Hopefully I will continue to be successful at work.

If the above remains true, then I may potentially get a new car.

  • I am trying to stay as optimistic as possible for this year, because it has the potential to be incredibly awesome, if everything actually works out...if not, it could be the crappiest year ever.

In the next 2-3 months I'll be losing my job, so I'm hoping to get something awesome, actually in Seattle.

Because I won't be working from home anymore, Newt will be going to daycare, which we're actually kind of excited about. I think it'll be really good for her to get all that attention, education and social time, and make the time we get to spend with her at home more special.

J will also likely be getting a new job in the next few months, so hopefully, it will be something better than what he has now, at the least more satisfying. Also hopefully this will be a choice move, not a forced move like mine.

In Sept. our 3 year and Newt's 2nd bday

In Oct. SIL's wedding in San Diego

Hopefully somewhere in here will be pregnant with baby2

and of course, looking forward to Dec.22 so I can laugh at all the people that thought the world was going to end (of course, if the job hunts don't go well and a few other things fall through, I might secretly wish they were right)

  • - Finish paying off the IVF cycle so that we can start working on #2. We'll definitely try winging it on our own but when we have less than a 1% chance of me getting pregnant w/o medical help, I see IVF in our future again.

    - 2 weddings. 1 I'm semi-excited for and the other is one I have to go to "just because" ( no way around it)

    - Gabby turning 1 in Sept.

    - Christmas. even though this past Christmas was technically her "1st Christmas", she was too young to enjoy it. I can't wait until for her to tear apart the wrapping paper
