Aruba vs. Cruise

My husband is taking me on a trip in May! (I graduate with my B.S. in May...so it's kind of a graduation present) & we will be taking our son (who will be 11 months) with us. We went to Aruba in 2010 for our honeymoon...and love it and I would absolutely love to go back....but I wouldn't mind doing something new too... So I was wondering what you all thought I should do? Just wanted some opinions (especially from those of you who have done either with a LO)...so cast your vote please.... do you recommend Aruba or going on maybe a week long cruise somewhere.....?

Re: Aruba vs. Cruise

  • I have only been to Aruba as a cruise port but we love getting dressed up which is more a cruise thing then the casual islands.  Cruises are more baby friendly in terms of being able to push a stroller etc.  Also there is no sand unless you do a beach excursion.  There will be more shade for baby.
  • I love cruises.  I think they would definitely be the easiest with a child because you can always send them to the kid's camp if you want some alone time. I am also always up for seeing new places and a cruise allows you to get a feel for several different islands so maybe you can find a new favorite!
