It's only 9 am

And I feel like I've been here half a day already.  Why is work so boring?

  • Why isn't this a holiday for you? Today is Monday right?

  • It's dead here, too.  We had Friday off, so we're in the office today.  No one else in our building is open.  Guess we're the lucky ones...

  • Today is my last day off. I'm so ready to get back to our routine. And the distraction of work. We are all a little irritated with each other in this house.

  • I am at work while Mr. Winged is at home and the kid is at daycare. I am bitter. Also, no one appears to care about my problem with the popes.
  • Mod - we had all last week off, but D and I are both back to work today.  I'm already dying to just take a half day.  Sigh.

  • Oh, and our superintendent is going to be here in 30 minutes to tour our building. I assume this has to do with our move but I am not sure why he's touring now since the decision has already been made. Do you think if I fake my water breaking on the floor they will consider this building unsuitable for a school and let us stay?
  • It's only 7:30 here and I'm not looking forward to another day of nothing.  Oh and I need to find a way to explain the definition of bed rest to my old neighbor.  She keeps putting on my FB that I should drive to this or that store, or get my hair done.  I want to tell her it's not a flipping vacation.

  • dawg, is that the fallen and can't get up person? She annoys me. I would be happy to yell at her.

    So, how is the BP?

  • Yes!  Dude she bugs so bad.  That's the same chick who used to do back ground checks on the neighbors.  She's cray cray.

I am being passive aggressive with her.

  • Oh and I think my BP is back to normal.  All my swelling is gone and I feel so much better.  I go back to the Dr. On Wed so I hope I can get released to just modified bed rest.

  • I went to the gym this morning, and when I got home at 10:15 Ian and Fran were still in their pajamas.  Apparently Ian realizes what a vacation day is because he slept until 9:00.  It will be a cruel morning tomorrow when we get back to our normal routine.
  • Lol, I just saw your post.

  • oh yay! I am glad the BP is back down and the swelling is down. I know you don't want to have togo to San Diego.

Kay, the time change has totally messed with Dagger's routine. Mr. Winged just texted me that he laid on the floor at daycare like a motionless zombie this morning when he got there.

  • That's funny winged -- one of Ian's daycare friends went to the west coast a few months ago, and one morning when his mom dropped him off the poor guy went right to his cot, pulled it out and curled up in a little ball to take a nap at 8:30.

I fear this will be a no nap day given his late rising.

  • Today's my last day of vacation, and I have a mound of essays to grade and no motivation to do it. I am still in my pajamas. However, in my defense, I did clear out all the presents under the Christmas tree and organized the baby's room and closet.

    I hate January.

I'm totally dreading Isaiah's return to daycare. I'm fearing some meltdowns this week.
