One Day (MAJOR SPOILER)

WTMF? She fuuucking dies? And so unceremoniously too. Like, bam! you got hit by a truck. Sucks to be you! I was totally expecting this movie to have a happy ending. I was blindsided and I am PISSSED!!!! I hate sad movies. I felt like this one had no cause to end that way. And there was no clue in the previews it was gonna be like that. NONE.

So, yeah, I didn't like it. In case that wasn't clear. lol

Re: One Day (MAJOR SPOILER)

  • That ending was so depressing.  I was totally not expecting her to die.  I was a sobbing mess.

  • I didn't see the movie but I read the book and I agree it was like Bam out of nowhere. I actually thought ok, is this a dream? when I was reading the book, until it was pretty evident it was not. I really liked the book up until that point too, I don't mind if they kill off a character but I didn't like the way it was done at all in the book, sounds like the movie was the same.

  • As soon as I saw that the biking scene was after they were happy, I knew she was going to get hit. I was confused when she turned down the alley and it hadn't happened yet. I didn't like the movie on a whole. It was just slow and boring.
  • I haven't watch the movie yet, because I'm still debating on if I even want to, or not. I did read the book and I was so ridiculously pisssed off at that part of it. I enjoyed the book up until that point. Bah. Just thinking about it makes me angry all over again.

  • This was one of the worst book-to-film adaptations I've seen in a long time.

I loved the book (even with its unhappy ending) and hated the movie. I hated the movie so much that I feel a need to re-read the book just so I can forget how bad the movie was.

  • A friend spoiled the movie for me and I wanted to see it so badly before that. Now I'm not sure if I can handle it...
