Unfortunately, it's not "glamorous" and does not involve me being on tv. We have a second store like 30 min from where we live. We never would go there because it was a pain and we had someone running it. Apparently it was being used more as his own art studio and cafeteria than what it's supposed to be- a lighting/lampshade store. There were missing bills and the place was a mess, amongst other things. Let's just say B and I have been here since 9:30a, it's now 12:30- we just finished cleaning up and I just ate "breakfast".
I couldn't say anything before because the person working didn't know he was being let go, obviously, so I couldn't just put it out there. I have no tv until wednesday so you people need to up the posting. Or I can watch episodes i missed of One Tree Hill on Amazon for $1.99/ea.

Yay! They seem to be on sidereel. There's some here too.
I know what you mean. The show has gotten so bad but I still have to watch.
Hope those work for you.

That sucks about your employee. My father had a very similar situation with a company he owned and it was awful to see him struggle to fix things.
How long are you back working? is the plan to hire someone new?
Oh, it was worse than I'm even writing. I'm here at least for a year. I have a part-timer but that's it. The idea is that she will work the days I can't. Like a saturday.
I'm sure it's much worse and I can understand you wanting to be a little mum on the issue. So is E with you or is he in daycare?
E is at school. It's not a "daycare", because it's not open all the time. I don't know what the definition of daycare is, but I know they must be open more than E's school is! But, his school does have an "aftercare" program. I used to pick him up at 1p and now I'll pick him up at 4p. But, unlike daycare, where I guess kids move rooms or parents situation changes and spots open up, they are set with their numbers early on with a few exceptions.
I couldn't get him in tues or thurs because those are "popular days". Tuesdays, which I didn't know when I signed him up is yoga day. I don't know what thursday is, but most kids who don't go every day do a mon-wed-fri or a tues-thurs-fri kind of thing so those combos are popular. A girl who had her daughter in tues-thurs was able to get in on mon-wed but not fri. Fri is music and shabbat so that sells out first because the parents like it. Make sense? And once it's set, it's set pretty much for the year unless for some reason someone moves I guess, but that doesn't really happen.
So, the store is only open now m-w-f till 4 and I'll figure out what to do with the other days as time goes on.
Yes, the public schools are closed today in town but not his school. I thought possibly because they are a Jewish school and have off all these crazy holidays I never heard of in October, so they make up for it on other days.
But, today was a total clusterfcuk of course. E and the cough and all that goes along with that- it's a whole long story but it's worse, he's on a steroid again, it's messing him up, no one slept last night. He needs the inhaler during the school time now for today and I'd normally have given it to him at 1p, but since I'm at work, B had to go there and do it. He's all daddy-centric from having him home a few days and he was bawling when we dropped him off, which never happens. B had to come to work with me since I don't know what I'm doing in this store, that messed HIM up, then going to E's school, having to pick him up since that is the new routine....
It's just a fcuking mess of a day. But, whatever. It's almost over. And I made a sale.
