Looking to find love in 2012

In 2012 i am looking to meet someone and start a real relationship. My last one was in highschool which fizzled after. Im trying out the online dating scene and it has been ok so far -- i've met some guys who i still talk to and possibly have a chance with. I think my problems is lack of patience due to a bad expierence with one guy whom i met online a few months ago, lets just say he left and we never go to say goodbye or get closure :(

Re: Looking to find love in 2012

  • I'm confused.....are you looking for a "good for you" validation for having a goal?
  • I don't think you can "look for love" ... makes you seem needy. I think you can be open to love and put yourself out there (i.e. join clubs based on interests, online dating, ask a guy to lunch). But I wouldn't make it a goal, per se.

This.  Love isn't something you can plan.  It either happens or it doesn't.  You can be open to it and find opportunities to meet people, but that's about it.  Perhaps your goal can be to be open to new experiences?
