Happy 2012!

Now that we are officially into the new year, I hope that everyone had a great celebration and weren't feeling too terrible yesterday!

Today is my official kick-off to my New Year's Goals and so far so good (although it's still early...lol)

I took down all the decorations and the tree yesterday to get the house cleaned and organized. Today I started with taking my 'starting weight' and will have DH do my measurements later, then I made my breakfast smoothie and now I am going to get started with my first project - putting together our photo collage (wedding photos, etc). I am also planning a little workout on our eliptical later...

What are you doing to get your New Year's Goals started?

Re: Happy 2012!

  • We're going back to the diet. We've been pretty lax the past two weeks. I did weigh myself yesterday, and I didn't lose any weight, but I didn't gain any either so that's good. 20 weeks until vacation and 40 more pounds to lose.

  • We are putting off New Years goals until after this baby is born.  The holidays were just too exhausting for me to start anything now, so we're planning on March goals :)

The only thing I am planning is that after next weekend (the last of my family leaves town) we aren't going to anymore parties or anything like that until the baby comes.  I've had enough holiday socializing to last me a lifetime!  Instead we'll stay home, and clean and get ready for her to come.

Good luck to you guys who are starting NY resolutions today!

  • Happy New Year to all of you, Ladies. Although i did not set any real goals (always fail on following through), our first Monday of the year was really productive. We cleaned up all the Xmas decorations, moved remaining stuff to the storage, went to Home Depot to buy stuff needednfor our bathroom mold removal project and got that done asnwell. DH hung some shelves in his office and continues to clean it up there. We also made a list of things we want accomplished this week, like doctors appointments to set up for us and our fur babies. I am working on a calendar to go to the gym regularly. I will start that tomorrow :)
  • My goals this year are to start eating healthier and working out more.  I've planned out all of my meals for the week, and worked out today.  I'm super tired.  Stuffed peppers are in the oven now, so that should be tasty.  I hope I can keep on track with this; DH is doing this with me, so that'll make it easier I hope.
  • Today begins my official day to get myself in gear!

My exercise routine will be escalating this week, and I am also reigning in our spending (I added some new goals since that last post lol) since all the gift buying has made me want to sit on my credit cards anyways...

I also am trying to be a more proactive friend this year.  It seems like it's "my role" to be the one that gets the girls together, and keeps in touch, and I was very lazy last year, and as a result, there is a disconnect, I feel.

All the technology in the world does not replace face to face interaction, and the sound of someone's voice!  That does not mean I will give up my new apple toys, but at my core, it's how I feel!

    Good luck to everyone else!
