Re: Last Year's NY Resolutions...

  • These were mine: 1) Now that I'm working, I'd like to really get serious about saving. I have a horrible shopping habit but I'm going to curb it this year.2) Start working out. I've lost the weight I needed to lose, now I have to tighten everything up. I will wear a bikini this summer.3) Invite people over more often. I've always been hesistant because my house is small but it is what it is so it's time to make the most of it.4) Have more sex. And my results?1) Failed miserably but I bought some awesome stuff!2)  I have been going to the gym but not as often as I'd like. Planning to go more often this year.3) I did this as much as I could.4) Wink 
  • 1-Stay organized with all I juggle.2-Keep up with As in grad school.3-Pay off CCs.4-Finish redoing our basement.5-Go on a cruise or vacation just DH, baby and I (annual Jersey Shore is already booked and I am going to either Japan or Florence cruise with my dad in July). 6-Lose the 20lbs left to be back to prepregnancy weight. (40 down already).7-Run/bike in better weather.  I am setting a goal to run across the Walkway over the Hudson 2xs a week when I get out of work and ride bike to Yorktown from Brewster 1x every 2 weeks.  (I have my bike set for Jack to tag along on my bike rides).   8-Maybe learn to cook.  ;) _______________________________________1- Doing okay  would like to continue2-  3.91 this semester and 3.871 Overall!! 3- 3 are done 1 left and only because we used it again4- basement is done.  just need to get all the movies out of J's reach5- We vacationed in Boston and NJ  no cruise thanks to the tsunami and my pregnancy.  cruise is in July now to Mediterranean 6- well I got pregnant again, but I am down 33 now and 8 to go to be back to before J7- Did a lot of walking and outside stuff with J this summer, this year we plan to do more.  Getting bike and carrier set up for spring, TG it is a 2 seater 8- HA.  I make stirfry, pasta and rice still.

  • Your so slick with your "posts from the past" abilities.

    1. Lose 10 pounds before I get PG again. This will require some type of working out because I have already been eating well and cutting calories and I think I've lost all the weight I;m going to lose that way. So I'm going to try Zumba with Jezzabella on Sunday! Woot!

    YES! I actually lost more than the 10 pounds I set for my goal. I lost 30 more pounds which put me below pre-pregnancy weight by 10.

    2. Start TTC again sometime in 2011.

    I guess I did pretty good this year!

  • 1. i would like to eat healthier/live healthier and work out more... 2.  i would also like to eat at home more since we dine out ALL the time. 

    3. finish some house projects that havent completed yet, 4. travel the country, and 5.  start a family ________________________________________________   i got pregnant in the beginning of the year so i didnt eat any better than i was. i didnt get to travel the country.. only down to the jersey shore.  we JUST finished with the house projects other than the bathroom. that will hopefully be started over the summer.  we got a bfp on 1/15/11<3 and our baby boy was born on 9/29/11... couldnt ask for more<3

  • I had a 50% success rate on my goals

    My goals:

    - Loose 20 lbs for the weddings we are in/attending this summer (all junk is going in the garbage tomorrow and we're looking into doing medifast)

    - Get A fully potty trained by his 3rd b-day

    - Start TTC #2 in late 2011

    - Get a bigger house

    How I did:

    - Lost 25 lbs via ww

    - A was fully potty trained the day after his 3rd birthday (it counts. lol)

    - epic fail on the last 2 :(   Maybe for 2012 it will happen but I'm not holding my breath.

    aaand this is why I don't make resolutions.

  • I failed miserably on all accounts... that's why this year my resolution is to have no resolutions!

    Reach my goal weight by summer. And start exercising. No where near my goal weight, but did join the gym and start exercising

    Get Drew to sleep in his crib.- YES...thank god

    Be more organized and productive. Yea notsomuch.

    This years:

    Nada....Im not a fan of resolutions. 

  • EPIC FAIL!!!!!!!

    I too would like to lose the baby weight (and right now I will take some, not all as a start), have more sex, etc.  Was so bad at this...weighed about the same at my annual and I know I can do it, I lost 100lbs on WW but I can't get my head in it, and that is a bad thing.

    I also would like to:

    get my daughter to go to sleep "drowsy but awake"....she has to be asleep to be put in her crib and lately is waking in the middle of the night  Sleeps through the night but still cannot fall asleep in her crib...this was my goal over the last week but she had a horrible cold, ear infection, was not so great in general and didn't think it was the right time...

    get my husband to eat healthier  not

    have a cleaner house yes, but still need people to pitch in

    buy a home (we rent) didn't buy but looked at a bunch. 

    cook more.  i am the take out queen Probably did, but still do take out alot

    So, my only resolution for 2012 is to just be more ontop of everything and be "in the moment"...everything else will fall into place.

    4 and for DD- to ditch the pacifier and to use the potty! ;)

  • I'd like to loose 10lbs - I lost 15!

    I'd like DH to eat healthier- Negatigve, he says he's going to do it on his own this year. It's all on him! 

    I'd like to get financially back on track- we are starting. Paid off 1 CC. DH got 3 new security contracts which helped our funds tremendously! We're headed in the right direction. 

    Not take my relationship with DH for granted- we both tried but I'm going to continue to make it a priority. 

    Maybe take a small vacation, the beach??!! Nope

    And DH will probably add one or 2 house projects! We did a few small things 

    Pretty good ?!?!?!?! ;)

  • 1. Buy House   - SCOREEEEEEE Did this in July

    2. Lose the after wedding weight i put on  - NEGATIVE - put on a lil more! 

    3. figure out these damn health issues - DONE!! Woot!!!!

     4. Get Preggo - NOPE - but still having fun practicing!! ;)

  • i missed out on last years post but can say with 100000% surety the biggest things for me were

    have a better marriage or be single

    get rid of studs

    get rid of jacuzzi

    add a bath.

    and all have worked out so far. :)

    sometimes all you really need in life is a pink wig.
