Private language tutor...how much to pay?

So I fired my old tutor and got a new one a few months ago.  I love her. My 100 hours is ending very soon with Global LT who she works for.  I got 100 hours of lesson paid for by DH's company with our relocation.  She is a student (24 y.o.) working on her disertation.  I asked if she would be willing to take me on privately and I would pay her directly.  She said she typically charges 25 Euro an hour, but usually her students that she tutors privately are short term (like they have a test in the immediate future they need help for).

Is this a good rate?  I have no idea how much is a going rate...

  • I have paid $60 an hour for a private tutor so that sounds good to me

  • This is her resume...not sure if it is relavent.

She holds a Bachelor's degree in Translation and Interpretation (English to Spanish) and a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as Foreign Language. She has worked in five different Spanish academies and is running private classes with Global Lt while writing her dissertation.

  • I think that is a good rate. I usually see from 22-30 euros

  • Yep. That's a good rate. The organization I freelance for charges 28? / teaching unit (45 min). Granted, I only see 19? of that, but that means I still end up with around 25? / hour.

    Wow

I charge a less than that for private English classes. However, she's got an impressive resume and I'd think that's probably cheap for a big city.  If she's worth it, stick with her!
