A's 1 month well visit was yesterday and she's a healthy little girl! She's 9lbs 14oz (up a full 2 pounds from her birth weight) and is 22 inches (up 2 inches from birth). She's in the 75th percentile (I think) for weight and 87th percentile for height. The pedi said she was very intense and that she'd probably be a jock (which we're hoping for!)
The
one concern he brought up was her right hip - he was able to pop it
around a little and is worried about a slight or eventual dysplasia so
we're going to hospital this morning for an ultrasound and if they see enough
of an abnormality, they'll refer us to an ortho at Mass General Hospital where they'd
likely fit her for a Pavlik harness. He did say that they could also
tell us just to have her checked periodically instead of going right to
the harness, but only the u/s can tell us for sure. So we'll see what
we're dealing with at some point after lunch - any good vibes you can send
us would be much appreciated!

Fingers crossed it turns out to be nothing!
Good vibes for a "we will just keep an eye on it" report.
Way to go A. Keep growing little girl. You are so cute!
Glad to hear that it's minor, but I would have cried all the way home too: you want to do everything you can to protect them!
She is growing though! Sounds like she is on a similar growth track that Connor is on!
Aww, sorry Kara. I would have cried too.
But really great news overall - I mean it's so amazing the times we live in that it was noticed this early on and will (most likely) be corrected with a harness well before she's aware of anything.
My friend's son had to wear a helmet for a while to correct his skull and it was hard for my friend at first, but overall it was such a small part of his life (he's 3 1/2 now) that she hardly pays it any mind now.

I am sure A's hip will be fine, it's good they're looking at it!
