Anyone stayed at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain?
We are thinking of staying here later this month, and I can't decide between a Mountain View Suite or Spa Suite. Has anyone stayed there? Any feedback on the rooms or the restaurant?
Re: Anyone stayed at Sanctuary Camelback Mountain?
We used to live in the Phoenix area, so I never stayed at the resort. However, we did eat a few times at Elements which is the restaurant there. It is so good! One of our favorite places in the Valley. The chef, Beau McMillen, was on this past season of The Next Iron Chef. If you can go around sunset, that is the best time. The lounge near the restaurant, Jade Bar, is also cool. We would go there and have drinks occasionally.
We stayed in a Mountain View casita a few years ago. There was a steep drive up to the room, however we had a really nice view of the valley. I did end up being lazy and driving down to the spa and gym area from our room, however it was a short walk to the pool from our room. I think the spa rooms are located below the mountain view rooms, so the views might not be as nice. I'm not really sure though.
We really liked the resort and I would love to go back. While we were there, I kept telling DH that the room would be my dream master suite - the tub is awesome.
We stayed there for a wedding so we didn't get a chance to eat at the restaurants.
