What are your general H&F goals you want to accomplish by the end of 2012? I want to have completed at least one half marathon and multiple 10ks and 5ks. Tone my midsection. Run a sub30 5k. Build some muscle. Eat healthier. No soda.
What are your H&F goals for this month? Train for and complete my first Half Marathon. No soda. Eat healthier.
What's your workout/eating plan for this week? M: Run 3 miles. T: Legs/Back Strength Training. W: Speedwork. Th: Arms/Shoulders strength training. F: Crosstrain/core work. Sa: 10 mile run. Su: Rest.
What's your favorite physical activity (running, lifting, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, zumba, yoga, etc.)? I love running. I also love mountain biking (although I'm not very good at it) and hiking.
Do you have a least favorite activity? I'm not a fan of yoga. I'm not flexible and it always gives me a headache.
Any suggestions on questions that should be asked in future H&F Challenge posts? I'm not very good at coming up with them.

What are your general H&F goals you want to accomplish by the end of 2012? finish NROLFW (should be done by end of March), start a new lifting program when I'm done with that, be in good physical shape to do at least 1 multi-day hiking trip, be able to do 5+ consecutive unassisted chinups
What are your H&F goals for this month? finish stage 5 of NROLFW, start stage 6, keep swimming *OR* take a break from swimming and upper body lifting to let my sore arm (tendonitis?) heal before it gets worse
What's your workout/eating plan for this week? workout: lift today, Thursday, and Sunday, swim Friday and/or Sunday; nutrition: get back into my normal eating pattern now that I'm home from visiting family, cut back on sugar and junk food after my Christmas treats, eat more veggies and protein instead
What's your favorite physical activity (running, lifting, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, zumba, yoga, etc.)? I discovered last year that I love weightlifting. I feel like such a bad@ass lifting heavier weights than some of the men at the gym! I also enjoy swimming. I've always loved playing around in water, but I never swam laps on a regular basis before last year.
Do you have a least favorite activity? running. I have severe overpronation, so even with corrective footwear I get horrible shin splints and knee pain from running.
Any suggestions on questions that should be asked in future H&F Challenge posts? I'm not very good at coming up with them. 1) motivation- why are you trying to exercise and eat healthy? what drives you to complete your goals for the week? for the month?; 2) what are some of your favorite ways to sneak in some exercise when you're short on time?; 3) what are some tangible ways exercising has made daily life easier for you?; 4) what are some of your favorite healthy breakfasts?; 5) name a few of your favorite songs to listen to while working out; 6) how do you reward yourself when you meet one of your goals?

I've been a total slacker the past 2 weeks.What's your favorite physical activity (running, lifting, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, zumba, yoga, etc.)? I love swimming and the elliptical. I wish I had time for the gym--I miss the elliptical.

What are your general H&F goals you want to accomplish by the end of 2012? I would like to lose 40-50lbs, or 4 sizes, whichever works for my body. I would like to complete NROLFW this summer. I want my energy back, and I want my weird skin issues to go the eff away.
What are your H&F goals for this month? No alcohol, no added sugar (fruit and other naturally-occurring sugar like in dairy is fine), gluten-free. Trying to figure some stuff out.
What's your workout/eating plan for this week? Get a grasp on the gluten-free thing, start weight program.
What's your favorite physical activity (running, lifting, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, zumba, yoga, etc.)? Lifting
Do you have a least favorite activity? Anything I find boring. I won't stick with it.
Suggestions for future questions: What challenges did you face this week/month, what successes did you have, what rewards are you allowing yourself for reaching a goal for being successful.
Yay for more lifting ladies! We tentatively mentioned a few months ago that we should have a NROLFW GTG so Dani could show us the lifts. Once the holiday craziness is finally over, we need to do that.
I think that would be awesome
I've never worked with a barbell on my own (totally comfortable with all the other weights) so this could be really helpful for me.

What are your H&F goals for this month? Lose 5-10 lbs by getting back on track wrt food
What's your workout/eating plan for this week? Run at least 3 times, with a long weekend run (7-8 miles?) and finally finish the NROLFW book.
What's your favorite physical activity (running, lifting, walking, biking, hiking, swimming, zumba, yoga, etc.)? Running. I enjoy lifting and I really want to get more into that.
Do you have a least favorite activity? I'm not coordinated enough for a lot of sports so I get embarrassed and don't continue.
ETA: that's finish the book so I can start the workouts. Not finish the program yet.
