Tankless hot water heaters

Any recommendations for brand and companies to come to install? Any experience with having one in general? Thanks!

Re: Tankless hot water heaters

  • I don't have any req's but I did look into them a while back and changed our minds.  We had talked to a few people from Lowes, Home Depot, Sears etc and they all said the same thing... The average life span for tankless is about 5-6 years and then the heating  coil goes out on them.  They also told DH that since we don't have gas lines we'd have to do electric and would most likely need up increase our amp's/watage to the house to accomodate the increase in electrical power.  I liked that they took up less space but wasn't to happy that you'd have to replace it so much sooner and not so sure I really want to see an increase to my electric bill.
