I was perusing another board and they were showing off NYE's OOTD. When did dressing like Snookie become acceptable for mainstream society? I mean some of these dresses were an inch away from showing the goods. Is this the norm nowadays and I am an old prude?

I felt like a prude this spring when I saw pictures on Facebook of the dresses girls wear to proms and spring dances. Crikey those things are short.

Take buddha's oufit and add some dog fur to it, and you have mine. I was in bed at 10:30 and got grouchy when the neighbors let off fireworks. I think this is my first year of being asleep at midnight, and only my second night of not being at a party.

Sounds like you are more ready to be a mom than you think.

You are not a prude. I am just going to assume some of those outfits are being worn by 20 year olds.

Those last boots, the Jayla, those are terrible.

I do not get the posting of the self portraits. Who needs that much validation for daily clothing choices?

And maybe I'm a hippo, but at least when Mod did it, I could understand. She shops like crazy, and is super stylish, and it documented her weight loss. This whole, "here I am with a shoddy iphone pic in the office bathroom" thing is just odd.

I do not like the socks-above-boots look that everyone seems to be sporting these days.

And those Jayla boots are fug.

Also, H and I went to Meijer (think, midwestern Walmart) at like 6 pm on New Year's, because we are awesome, and those outfits were nothing like what the hoochies there were wearing.

I must be a hookah, but nothing there looked bad on any of the women wearing it. I'm pretty into fashion and consider myself someone who knows what I can and can't get away with. Not everyone can or should wear a mini dress, but if you've got the legs and confidence why not? You won't have them forever, and it's NYE, not Sunday mass. Just make sure to wear panties to avoid any Snookie moments!

I actually liked the boots. However, the fact that I even put on matching clothes in the morning is a miracle to me. I have NO desire to post my outfits online for daily critiques. If I wanted that, I'd just text my mother. No thank you!
