The Amazing Race 12/11/11 SPOILERS

What'd you guys think of the finale?

Cindy and ican'trememberhisname totally blew away the competition on this one.  Did I miss it or did they not even show Amani and Marcus' challenges?  It wasn't an exciting finale at all.

I still wish the snowboarders would've went and won...

Re: The Amazing Race 12/11/11 SPOILERS

  • I didn't think it was exciting, either.

And I'm disappointed with the results, as usual.

I wish Marcus and Amani would have won, or I'd really have loved for the snowboarders to still be in.

Overall, a lame finale for a fairly lame season.

  • Cindy and Ernie have been my least favorite team all season. I'm bummed that they won and Marcus and Amani did so poorly.

  • It was very anti-climatic and the false sense of urgency they tried to create at the end where Cindy and Ernie's cab was "lost" and the other team was coming was lame.  Jeremy and Sandy were futzing around at that furniture store for a LONG time, and the few minutes Cindy and Ernie had to turn around clearly wasn't enough to make them lose.

  • Once Ernie and whats her name pulled ahead I lost interest and fast forwarded to the end. Saw that they won and was like meh.

    Snowboarders... :(

  • At least smart people won.

And I'll say it again: the God-loving snowboarders can eat a d!ck.

  • I was very disappointed in the outcome.

I did NOT want Ernie & Cindy to win. I wanted Marcus & his wife to take home the million!!!

  • I did not get to watch the show yet (it is on my DVR) but Radar Online spoiled it for me this morning.  And now I am not too bummed that I didn't get to see it live.

I was not a fan of the winners but I think she made some progress and calmed down a little throughout the race...she was way more biitchy/controlling when they first started racing.

  • I felt so bad for Marcus and Amani...I can't imagine how frustrated they were with the flight simulator challenge.

I can't believe how much time Jeremy and Sandy wasted at that furniture store! What idiots.

I didn't like Ernie and Cindy throughout the race, so I was meh about them winning. I also agree that the finale was pretty anticlimactic.

  • I think the part that cemented my dislike for Cindy was when she said "If we lose to one of these teams, it'll be like the A+ students losing to the C- students." WTF! Get over yourself. She was way too cocky for me.

  • Such a boring finale. The tasks were not at all difficult.

My favorite part was when Sandy's guy was talking about The Dump and saying "It's got to be...a place where there's garbage?" And she goes, "We're not going to just figure it out. We have to ask someone."

I hated Amani and Marcus so I was really glad they didn't win. I was curious about whether they would know the places in Atlanta though so I wish they had shown that.

Ernie and Cindy were a strong team the whole time. Her parents definitely gave her issues. Her control-freak qualities didn't bother me so much because she was super aware of them and she wasn't mean to Ernie, they both just accepted what a freak she is. But yeah, kind of a lame season with a lame ending.

  • Cindy had me rolling my eyes a lot. When she made the "A student" comment, I looked over at DH and said, "Is she serious?" Oy.

I really wanted Amani and Marcus to win, so seeing them so far behind had me pretty disinterested. I'm just glad Jeremy and Sandy didn't win. They annoyed me the entire season.

  • Cindy and Ernie deserved to win. They haven't been my favorite by far, but I'm definitely glad they beat Sandy and What's his name. I was nervous at the end because they made it seem like it was going to be a foot race to the end. Cindy would have given up if that were the case. Big Smile

you mean a smart person won, right?  her fiance did not seem to bright throughout the competition.

  • Worst finale ever. Cindy is an a$$. "If we lost it would be like A+ students losing to C students." And (paraphrasing here) "My parents expect me to the the smartest, fastest, bestest, most amazing at everything and I just proved that they are right!"

    Completely agree.

She was acting so full of herself the whole episode.

After I saw Ethan and Jenna at the finale, I wished again they would've made it farther...

  • I much prefered her A+ student comments over Marcus's CONSTANT football analogies.

It's like I fumbled the pass in the end zone. This is the final playoff game. WE GET IT YOU PLAYED FOOTBALL. Jeez.

I was rooting for Cindy and Ernie. Go Team Asian.

I agree that Marcus's football references were a bit much.  My husband and I said we could have turned that into a drinking game!  However, I was really annoyed by Cindy's A+ student comment.  You can be confident, but you don't have to be arrogant.  I think of the three remaining teams, Cindy and Ernie were the most consistent and deserved to win.   However, I wasn't rooting for them.  Oh well...on to next season.

All of this. Marcus drives me nuts. And Amani's comment about "I still would've thrown it to you" blah blah blah was awkward and weird. They can't have a normal conversation, everything has to be translated into football jargon for him to understand what's going on or express himself.

If anyone saw last week's episode of Leverage, the office boss was the perfect example of Marcus.

I've been rooting for Cindy and Ernie since the beginning so I was glad they won. Also agree with pp that said as soon as the snowboarders brought up God they lost any kind of support from me.

He's smart enough to be her fiance, and he was able to figure out how to use a lower-case "L" in lieu of a "1" on that typewriter pretty quickly.

If you can back it up, go on wit yo' bad self.

Good for Cindy for rising to her parents' expectations!

  • The snowboarders and their god nonsense was pissing me off too, which is why I couldn't be too sad when they got out last time.

But I was seriously rolling my eyes at Cindy and Ernie and their idea about starting a charitable foundation to help all the wee poor folks they saw in their fun adventure race travels.  :P
