back to work.. ew!! i've been totally MIA from here the last week or so because i've been blissfully napping my mornings away and not looking at a computer--AT ALL. it's been wonderful. but now i have lots of catching up to do!

remember when your parents used to make you "practice" waking up the day before school started after a break? i totally needed to do that..but didn't. 4am did *not* come easy today!

Welcome back to all of our MIA over the holidays nesties! We missed you!

I'm "back" at work this morning, but I worked 3 days last week so it wasn't too hard to come back today, except that I woke up with a sore throat and generally feel like death. Our whole team is back in the office today, and while we enjoyed the peace and quiet, it will be nice to not have all the work fall on a few of us.

The new year's weekend flew by - Saturday, my whole family got together, including my cousin's 3 week old little girl. We had a blast. NYE night, went to a low key house party. Sunday, church and had people over. Yesterday we went skiing for the first time of the season! The snow was fantastic - much, much better than typical Stevens snow - but it was pretty crowded up there. Still, it was good to get our ski legs back and have a day to spend just with H.

Yes, back to work for me for the first time since early December. It makes coming back hard, but it's not too bad yet. We had a great weekend in Victoria and got home yesterday. It will be good to get everything going for the new year.

I worked last week, but certainly enjoyed the 3 day weekend.

DH and decided to tackle the garage yesterday and went to home depot and bought 2 giant metal shelving units. I'm in love. I love that I can finally see things! Storage is my biggest pet peeve about owning a townhouse.

Oooohhhh, shelves. We just put some in our garage a few weeks ago, too, and, MAN, does it make me happy! I hope you love yours!

Good morning! Work as usual, hopefully it will go by quickly once shipment comes in. DH and I started carpooling, he is able to drop me off on his way to work. Only downside is he gets off an hour after I do. Worth it though to save money on gas.

I was so happy to finally get shelves! We also got something that hangs from the ceiling... It is awesome!

Morning!

Holidays were good, if tiring, and my brother went home today which means his cute, adorable, the best puppy ever left too. ;-; Luckily, they're coming back up this weekend to go boarding (my brother, not the puppy) so I can play with Piggy again. I miss him already.

We painted the room that'll be a nursery some day over the break and I love how it turned out. Horizontal stripes in a satin on flat pale pale gray. I can't wait to start decorating it later on when there is actually a baby or a promise of one. There isn't one yet. I just like planning ahead.

Good morning, almost afternoon!

We got home Sunday night (late!) from two weeks of holidays with families on both coasts - did four Christmases by the time we did one with DH's mom and sister, and spent a week in Seattle and a week in PA/NY/NJ. Happy to be home but still on East Coast time - after spending yesterday cleaning / unpacking, I passed out at 7 PM and slept for 12 straight hours. It was incredible.

Busy few days for me - just got back from the airport where I had my interview / approval for GOES Trusted Traveler program and have to start packing clothes for Thursday's flight to the Dominican Republic. Have tutoring this afternoon and am so excited to see my little kiddos... I missed them!

Good morning! My NYE weekend was a busy one, and I'm starting the New Year looking for a new apartment. I hate moving, but it's time to move somewhere new and cheaper!
