Card Making Question
I was volunteered into making invitations for my SILs baby shower next month. I will be using my cricut to cut out the Lady Bug (Create a Critter cart), a stamp that says "You're Invited" and the actual information will be printed off my computer on the inside of the card.
So here is my question... how should I do this? I usually only make one card so I focus all of my time on that card. Should I make up 25 lady bugs and assemble them all and then print 25 inserts for the cards, then stamp "You're invited" on 25 cards and then start assembling all of the cards? or should I focus my attention on each card individually?
I am just trying to figure out the best way to do this to minimize my time and effort but still make the cards look nice!

I don't make cards, but I imagine that (like most crafts), an assembly line method will be the most effective use of time/resources.

Do you know where I can find a 12x24? I have the 12x12 that came with the cricut but a bigger mat would definitely do the trick. I don't recall seeing a larger size at Michaels though. I am going down there in a bit and will check it out.
If it was me, I would run, not walk, to a store and buy them. lol. I tried my hand at card making a few weeks ago and it was a dismal failure.
BUT, if I was in your position... I would probably make one from start to finish, make sure I liked it, and then assembly line the rest. Otherwise, I'd probably find something I'd want to change and then be mad at myself for either wasting materials or settling on the design.

When I made DS's birthday invitations, I used a feature on my Silhouette cutting machine called "print and cut" for the wording part. Does a cricut have anything like this? Basically, it allowed me to print the words on my printer and then the Silhouette cut around the words in a specific shape. It turned out really cute.
I enjoy card making. I know it is time consuming but I have the design down, I just need the other host to look at it and make sure all of the information is right then I will start my assembly line with the cards.
Oh, I enjoy it, too. But I am terrible at it. My cards all look homemade, and not in a good way. Which allows me to admire all the beautiful paper crafts on here all the more.
