Your Resolutions for 2012
I know some people don't like to make resolutions are call them that... What are you going to do different, try to do, hope to accomplish in 2012?
Re: Your Resolutions for 2012
I need to shed 20 lbs.
I want to improve my half marathon time.
Keep myself organized. My former system of just remembering everything doesn't seem to work with three kids now.
I only have 2 and need to work on mine.... I keep losing the notes to remind me to do stuff that I forget...
* lose another 20 pounds, took all 2011 to lose the first 20
* re-decorate our bedroom
* travel more
* read at least one book every other week
So Tasty, So Yummy
make plans for my business and then follow through
read at least 12 books (which is super challenging with 2 kids and my own business, or so I learned this year when I only read 3 books and had the same resolution)
Lose 20-25lbs and tone up
Plan fun activities for my family more often
Buy more books for my kids, I would like to overload them
Get my family to eat an entire meal made from vegetables... we'll see how sneaky I can be!
Save the $, sell our home and settle into a longer-term home... and be happy.
Try new healthy recipes
Use my crock pot more often
work out twice a week
Get organized, including appointments, bills, birthdays etc. I'm a hot mess right now when it comes to being organized and it's driving me crazy!
Get healthy, and lose some weight once I have this baby. I'm not going to set a number of pounds, or a size. A number doesn't matter as much as being healthy and feeling good about myself.
Work on my patience. I have a short fuse and my kids and my husband get the brunt of my frustrations. I need to work on being more patient with everyone, including myself.
I'd like to shed some weight too... Work out at least 4-5 days per week. 2-3 I'm working at the restaurant after my day job, so I think 4-5 is pretty good.
I want to be more consistent about eating healthier, this starbucks I'm drinking right now isn't helping, but it is tasty!
Definitely need to be and get more organized. I don't have kids yet but good Lord, I need to de-clutter our small one bedroom apt. Hopefully that will happen after DH cleans out the garage we have to store all our crap.
Be more concious about what I buy and why I'm buying it. My family and some friends consider me a tight wad but I really don't care. If I have the money and all of my monthly bills are taken care of, why not buy myself or DH or both something new. Which is probably why we have so much crap/clothes/shoes/purses, etc in the house. lol
1. (Maybe TMI) Be more intimate with DH. I feel like I'm really distancing myself.
Time to make a conscious effort.
2. Organize the house and keep it that way! Opening a cabinet or closet can be a safety hazard right now.
3. Eat less processed foods as a family. While I might not eat them much myself I still buy them. For me personally, eat fewer refined carbs and sugar.
4. Trade some jiggle for muscle. Keep going to Crossfit and pushing myself. Keep my running mileage up. Do an unassisted pullup and a handstand pushup.
-lose weight & keep it off
-organize more dinners with friends
-stick to at least one date night/month, but do different things
-get back to using coupons
-read more...no goal, just more than I have been reading
-cook 2 new things per month out of my cookbook collection
Cook more, eat out less
Lose weight- not a specified amount but definitely get in better shape and make exercise a "habit"
Get organized. My house is too small for all the crap we have in it. Purge and then find a place for everything that's left.
Read more- but mostly because the Literary Club of the Heights Woman's Club is having their end of year party for 2012 at some member's house on River Oaks Blvd and I really want to go! LOL
If I get out of bed every morning 2012 will be a good year. Many scary changes coming up.
I really need to be more diligent about working out, I've slacked lately & with my back injury skipping work-outs is just not an option.
I'll join in!
Lose a significant amount of weight - get extremely close to my goal weight.
Do P90X atleast twice.
Finally pay off a big chunk of debt.
Go on more trips with the hubs.
Keep the couponing going. (Im killing it at CVS!)
Get back into coupons
Pass my broker license test
Keep my desk and car clean(er) (this will be a hard one, I'm a paper monster)
Start exercising and try to get back to my pre-baby weight (or at least close)
Try some new recipes, get the kids to try some new foods
Do more crafts with the kids
Spend more quality time with DH
Go to be earlier, get more sleep
Stress less, have more fun
Stay in the spirit of giving (it really hit me hard this holiday season).
Go to church more regularly
Learn to use the sewing maching I received LAST Christmas
I have been working on some of these for a while, but here goes it:
-- Lose another 80ish pounds. I have lost about 27 this year with 20 of those being since November 3. I don't feel like I have made any super drastic changes and I don't feel deprived in the slightest. I am just watching the calories in and the calories out. I use a Body Media to track calories out and MyFitnessPal to track calories in.
-- Spend more time with friends. I was really good about organizing a monthly GNO or GNI in 2010, but I really slacked last year. I want to get back to that because I miss having social time with friends.
-- Spend more quality time with DH.
-- Get back on track with Dave Ramsey
-- Start going to church
-- Do some home improvement projects
-- Start and keep up with a small garden
monthly date nights with DH. We very rarely had any alone time this year.
travel more locally, within a few hours of Houston...see what else Texas has to offer.
lose weight. I may have finally figured what has been causing all my health issues this year, hypothyroidism...I have a LOT of classic signs and symptoms, just waiting on the final round of bloodwork to confirm it.
Eat healthier, I have been attempting to follow a gluten free diet, for health reasons. I am doing pretty well except when I get stressed out, then I just want a chicken strips basket from Whataburger or something else I'm not supposed to eat.
Take better care of myself ( lose weight, get in shape, have regular check ups). Encourage K to do the same.
Continue to coupon
Set budgets so we can pay off debt
Donate hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths again
Organize house and decorate
The only thing I'm putting on any sort of list is to find a church that we can attend regularly and get my kids baptized.
Other than that, I just hope to survive the next year without losing my mind.
