What were your resolutions last year and how did you do?

Re: What were your resolutions last year and how did you do?

  • Last year I had three.

Lose weight & keep it off - I lost it, but gained it back and ended the year about where I started it.

Date Nights Monthly - we did ok, we didn't go out as much, but we did put C to bed and cooked or watched a movie.  Toward the end of the year, though, we didn't have as much time.

Be a better friend/spend more time with friends - ok on this as well, but not great.

All of these are back on my list for 2012.

  • Run 900 miles - Done, plus a few more!

Run 2 long distance races in the fall. - Only did one, but I have 4 planned by March so I'm ok with that.

Find and stick to a weight lifting routine. -  Done.  I jumped around between routines but I kept up the lifting.

Participate in at least one planned fitness event each month. Fail.

Disney World in December - Done!

Monthly family game nights. - Not so much.

Monthly date nights without the kiddos. - Pretty much stuck with it.  Most were nights in, but still fun.

One long weekend away with just the husband. - Hill Country in April.

Learning to say ?NO? so that my schedule doesn?t get so overcrowded and I actually get to enjoy the things I participate in. - Done, and I feel much better.

Weekly meal plans including one of each of the following- one meatless dinner, one crockpot/make ahead dinner, one recipe makeover. - Weekly meal plans have become a habit.  Meatless dinners are seldom though and recipe makeovers ceased a while ago.

Introduce at least one new food/ingredient to the family every month. - Fail.

Branch out into cooking more ?exotic? cuisine at home that we currently only eat out. - Eh, not so much.

  • I never really have resolutions. What I have done in the past is make a list of things I want to accomplish like - Try two new cusines, go skydiving, travel to a certain destination. I try to not focus on negatives like needing to exercise more.

  • I'm hoping I didn't make any, because if I did, I don't remember what they were!

This!  LOL  I have no recollection.  If anyone saved a new years resolution post from last year and I responded in it please fill me in!

My big boy is bounding towards 3! Hoping to add a sibling. image Hipster dog is not impressed.
  • I made one resolution last year, and I have pretty much done the exact opposite of it.  Oh well.
  • I don't make them. I see them as just a way to set myself up for failure.
