XP: I have the craziest NY's story
So mr. eagles and I went out for NYE. My MIL had the kids overnight, and we had a hotel room in the city and dinner reservations.
mr. eagles runs a popular local attraction that hosted a big NYE party. We didn't really have any set plans for after dinner and I knew he kind of wanted to check in on the party, so we decided to take a cab over.
The party was great, security said there were a few minor incidences ( a girl passed out at 10pm, a guest complaining about the liquor selection etc) but all in all it was going really well.
At the end of the night, mr. eagles and his staff were making sure everyone had a way home and they had arranged for a shuttle to get people to various locations (this is how we were getting back to our hotel). A young girl who was visiting from Australia said she was ditched by the guy she was staying with and had no idea how to get back. This dope flew here for NY's for this guy and he left the party with another girl! All her stuff was in his apartment - she had his address (in a not so great area of the city) and phone number written on a piece of paper. She said she tried calling him and couldn't get him

lachute, it was incredibly odd, and though we felt so bad for her, we kind of had our guard up too. If it was someone we knew mr. eagles probably would have dropped me off and let me go to bed and taken her by himself. But with a totally random stranger, there was no way he would be anywhere alone with her and we would never let her in our room
He sat with her in the lobby, in full view of the front desk, while I ran up and got changed and got the keys
As we were sitting outside the house and the two dudes came around the corner, I had my phone at the ready - thinking "what if they tried to rob us?" mr. eagles must have been thinking the same thing, because he never turned the car off and had his hand on the gear. You just never know
