it totally counts. it means i started high, because i'm still on a relatively healthy (okay fine, a little over, just not extreme) amount of weight gain.

  • I would like to join the party!  Because I never exercise, like ever, and I know that's bad.  I think it would help if I paid for a class or something, but I feel like that's a luxury when I could just go running and we probably shouldn't spend money on that right now.

Goal: do some kind of exercise 3x a week

    this.

omg. i would die gaining over 100lbs.

i know i'll lose a good amount of wait from just delivering, and hopefully EBF. but my starting weight for pregnancy was already way higher than i'd like.

remember for my wedding? "this is my minimum" (130). i was almost 30lbs over that at my first appt.... i think i'd be happy with wedding weight, but even for the wedding, i never got down to what i really wanted (110)..... and even if i did, i think at that point, it's time for baby #2, isn't it?

I just discovered Tilapia and love it!  It's pretty cheap too.  I made fish tacos the other night and my meat-loving H really liked it.  Basically, I breaded the fish (which I realize doesn't sound good, but it's not a lot and it's definitely not like fast food, deep fried stuff) and then used a little olive oil in the pan to cook it.  My idea was for there to be pieces of fish in the taco, but H shredded it when I wasn't looking, lol.  It was so yummy though!  Here is the recipe:

    1/2 cup macadamia nuts

    1 cup Japanese breadcrumbs (panko)

    1/2 cup all-purpose flour

    2 large eggs

4 sea bass, halibut or tilapia fillets

    3/4 teaspoon salt

    olive oil

Pulse macadamia nuts in a food processor until finely ground. Add breadcrumbs, and pulse 2 or 3 times or until combined. Place nut mixture in a shallow dish. Place flour in a shallow dish. Whisk eggs in a medium bowl. Sprinkle fish with salt. Dredge fish in flour; shake off excess, and dip in egg. Dredge fish in nut mixture, coating completely. Heat oil in a large heavy skillet over medium heat. Add fish; cook 6 to 8 minutes on each side or until golden. (If nuts begin to brown too quickly, reduce heat.)

I served mine with avocados, cheese etc. and a pineapple-mango salsa from the grocery store.  We ate it in a tortilla like a taco, but I had it for lunch the next day and ate it with tortilla chips.

I was 127 at my first appointment when I was pregnant.  I got up to 182!  Tillman was a giant 10+ pound baby, and then I was down to in the (high) 130s at my 6 week pp checkup.  You WILL bounce back!

  • Alrighty!

Starting weight: 148 (heaviest ever was 155)

Goal weight: 110 (I feel like I should add that I'm just under 5' tall)

Week's plan: Drink more water!  I pretty much drink like one cup of coffee in the morning, and a cup or two of decaf tea at night and like nothing else, so increasing the water intake won't be hard haha.  Also portion control! I eat a relatively healthy diet, but I'm a little ocd and have a really hard time throwing food away, soooo putting a little less food on the plate and being okay with not clearing the plate if I'm full is a huge thing for me to work on.
