my other cat just vomited blood

jesus. when it rains it pours, huh?

this is the one with the heart problem. she can't go under anesthesia so she can't get a dental and subsequently has been having some teeth issues. when i came home from putting iowa down she had lost her other fang. the vet put her on antibiotics. yesterday she threw up and had diarrhea, so we changed the antibiotics. just now she vomited blood.

i am taking her to be seen this afternoon. ugh.

Re: my other cat just vomited blood

  • Do you think she senses Iowa being gone?

Sorry md, when it rains it does certainly pour.

  • Oh no, Eden. :(  I hope she's ok.  How is she otherwise?  Keep us informed. How old is she BTW?
  • Oh no! I hope she's ok. Maybe the vet just needs to change the antibiotics again. It sounds like she may be allergic to them. Lots of vibes heading her (and your) way.
  • You poor thing.  I hope she is ok.

That's great that the vet doesn't think it's anything. Hopefully her stomach was just upset by something and she's fine now!

  • ugh, let's hope it was just an allergy and she really isn't ill.  Maybe it was a mixture of the antibiotics and the loss of your other kitty.   I swear animals can sense when their owner's are upset, and they feel it too.  I know you were having problems with your appetite, so maybe it was a little bit of nerves mixed with everything else.  Glad to hear she's perky now and seems to be bouncing back.

Glad to hear she doesn't think it's anything major.  Sorry you're having so many kitty problems lately.
